Here is another view of my 1/35 scale Tamiya IDF Shot Centurion and Bronco M38 Jeep. I modified both to look similar to IDF vehicles.
This is a 1:100 scale model of a Commercial Space Station, which we were commissioned to build in 2019. The model features a variety of customized modules, stowage facilities, an airlock, an observatory, a robotic arm and a main solar array. The model is accompanied with replicas of the SpaceX Dragon and Boeing CST-100 supply ships. Later we are going to add to this set a replica of the SpaceX Dragon 2 as well. The model also includes several posed astronaut figurines, designed and customized for us by Mr. Max Grueter.
The model was designed in 3D software, produced by rapid prototyping and manually assembled, painted and decorated.
In this model we implemented the features and technics developed for our models of ISS, which we were building and perfecting since 2008. The model has reliable internal reinforcement system, holding the modules together. Most vulnerable elements are produced from durable materials – metal and nylon. Selected components and supply ships’ replicas have embedded magnets, allowing to reconfigure the station and exercise various docking schemes. The model is mounted with support poles on a black painted base.
The model is designed to be partially disassembled during transport. It is packed in a Pelican heavy duty transit case and can be fast and easily assembled for presentation.

This railroad scale house, in West Kentucky Wildlife Management Area east of the Paducah site, was used in the 1950s to weigh Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant freight. Workers preserved the old scale because of its potential historical significance. The scale house was demolished.

Greater Manchester Police faced one of the greatest challenges in its history yesterday when large-scale incidents of disorder took place in the region. Centered on Manchester city centre and Salford, the incidents caused major disruption and endangered the safety of officers and members of the public.
At a press conference last night, Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan said: "Over the past few hours, Greater Manchester Police has been faced with extraordinary levels of violence from groups of criminals intent on committing widespread disorder.
"Shops have been targeted, looted and set on fire and I, like everyone else, am absolutely appalled by the shameful actions of these criminals who have attacked our cities and have put Manchester and Salford in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
"This is nothing more than senseless violence with no absolutely no regard for people, their property or livelihoods. These criminals have also attacked some of my officers and other emergency services who are simply trying to do their job to keep the public safe and restore order.
"These people have nothing to protest against – there is no sense of injustice or any spark that has led to this. It is, pure and simple, acts of criminal behaviour which are the worst I have seen on this scale.
"Despite the extremely challenging situation we are facing, my officers are continuing to respond to any outbreaks of disorder, doing their best to protect people and property and arrest those involved. We have already made a number of arrests and we will arrest more.
"We have said all day that we will respond to any incidents robustly and I want to stress that we will continue to arrest criminals who have brought such violence to our streets. We have captured offenders on CCTV and I want to send a clear message to these people that they will not get away with this – we are reviewing these images and we will be coming for you as early as tomorrow.
"During the day, we have received overwhelming messages of support from our community who share our dismay at the actions of these people. We have also received assistance from other Forces around the region and we would like to thank them for their support.
"I would like to thank all our communities for the support they have shown and would ask for that continued assistance from members of the public by staying out of Manchester city centre and Salford while we deal with the disorder and telling us who these people attack our cities are."

A few months ago I got a chance to visit my friend Jeff Rutzky and see (and photograph) some of the projects he was working on for his new book Shadowfolds, that teaches how to create intricate geometric designs with fabric. The pieces are really beautiful and surprisingly easy to make.
When I was a teenager, my teachers believed that by now, the United States would be using the metric system for everything. It seems we converted partly, but stalled. Now we have an interesting blend of two systems!
Fortunately, I did study French...
Issued by Tom Dirnberger and manufactured by Great Lighting Models-GLM in 2020. It is 1:43 scale and crafted in resin.
A Limited Edition, 1 of 60.
The model is finished in Moonstone Blue.
There are still a couple of these available. My photos don't quite capture the beauty of this color, but are far better than the others I've seen. I passed on this model because it looked drab in blue, it isn't. Instead, it is a very vibrant color, and really pops.
Data Scales and guests play the Sunrise Stage at Basingstoke Live! 2014.
Great set, loved these guys, at the fantastic as ever Basingstoke Live! event.
The old scales actually still worked, amazing really, although there was no needle on the face to actually display the weight, you could actually stand on the plate and see the internals on the face working.

What I am told first about Nariño is that it is a complicated area. It is a region that other buyers and sellers have struggled to make progress in but is known for having great quality. Nariño is the department that is in the southwest corner of Colombia, bordered by the Pacific Ocean and Ecuador.
Nariño varies in geography from coastal beaches to the high mountains of Pasto. Because of this variation, not only are parts of Nariño prime real estate for coffee, but it is good for coca production, as well. This has led to security issues and different rogue groups volleying for control all over the landscape.
What I am first and foremost told about coffe is that most of the coffee here goes to basically 2 buyers. BIG buyers. Looking at this warehouse, that is still hard for me to comprehend. Just in this photo, there are about 50,000 bags of parchment coffee, and this is only 1 of 3 major mills/warehouses in the region. So, thinking about the project here, it is also not hard to image that a few of these bags could easily have some amazing coffee, while others not so much.
The goal of the project, simply put, is to find and get better prices for those great coffees that get lost in the mix.
Easier said than done, though.
