And here's the small-scale ships.
These were built a good long while ago, shortly before my Lego dark ages. I've still got some of them around. Some day I'll endeavor to build the whole line of ships. These pics are a bit old too.

The model is finished in Dusk Mauve.
There are two shades of red in the petals. The darker color shows up a bit more in person. It is printed on the cotton sateen. This is my first attempt for designing large scale.
I just like the colour contrasts, the bright ferns and tree against the brooding sky, and the lichen adds a splash of yellow on the posts. The path on the right is the circular route around Scaling Dam reservoir, we should have worn more waterproof shoes!
Balkan Green Lizard - These are quite common on site and big enough(20-30cms) to make you jump if they rustle through the undergrowth. Our favourite was the one that would gingerly cross the path right in front of us every morning as we sat and drank our first cofee of the day. Be interesting to see if it's still there this summer.
Upper hull sitting on the lower hull. The Merkava IV has an easy to model shape. Mostly straight lines from front to back.
