The scaffolding is working really well for us on the dome. We have
managed to reach the hard to get to areas. It is a lot more
comfortable to be sitting on the scaffolding than to be standing on
the rebar all day.
I was impressed with the all-bamboo scaffolding in Hong Kong, so have been on the lookout for alternate types of scaffolding since.
Night shot about 100 yards off, shot 400mm focal length. It's the 5th story scaffolding at the nearby hospital construction. There was some serious cloud action filtering and diffusing the moon.
No room on the sides to get around it. The scaffolding is so we can punch a hole in the brick wall for an exterior Thermador fan for the range hood.
Some scaffolding around one of the many spires surrounding the Cathedral. This scaffolding is part of the efforts to repair damage from the 2011 earthquake.

Light and strong, bamboo scaffolding is commonly used in the Far East, seen here at Chungking Mansions on Nathan Road, Kowloon.
The way bamboo is used as scaffolding is amazing. Here it is being used on a tower high on top of an existing building.
Even scaffolding takes the weekend off!
Taken during the Toronto Photo Walks group's Humber River Walk.
May 1, 2022 - I ran across these contractors erecting scaffolding on my walk back to my hotel. Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Inside the Aya Sofia in Istanbul this scaffolding is blocking the view from one half of the church/mosque for many years now. But it has it's own beauty as well..
I was constantly amazed at the use of bamboo to make scaffolding all over Hong Kong. You can see that this is not just on small buildings, but it's put up (by hand!) all over the skyscrapers too.
The west side of the Fox Plaza has scaffolding covered in white plastic. This is part of the retrofit to make the building safer during an earthquake. Internal upgrades are being done in some apartments from the 14th floor to the 21st. Work is being done in the 2 level underground garage and in the office spaces between the 1st and 12th floors.
