Oleg Sentsov, 41 ans et père de deux enfants, avait été condamné à 20 ans de prison le 25 août 2015 pour "organisation et participation à un groupe terroriste" par un tribunal militaire russe. L’accusation était fondée sur le témoignage de deux personnes dont l’une a annoncé, lors du procès, avoir subi des actes de torture et a finalement retiré ses allégations. Après sa condamnation, l’Union européenne a dénoncé un procès qui "violait le droit international et les bases élémentaires de la justice"

In July 1966, Save Mart opened a new 20,000-square-foot supermarket at 130 W Stockton St. This store was a replacement for an older store located just adjacent to the new store. The grand opening newspaper article noted: "The new Save Mart store on Stockton St. has joined the swelling list of buildings which reflect the heritage of Sonora. The slump stone and large timbers which front the building enclose a modern, attractive and well-equipped supermarket that offers a wide variety of products". The old store building became a drugstore after Save Mart moved out, and is now subdivided amongst multiple retailers. The current store received an interior remodel in the late 1980s, and none since then. Sometime during the 2000s or 2010s, however, the front facade was slightly redone.

I was lucky to find this on the side of a dirt road where loggers where deforesting an area. This maple really meant something to someone.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that not many of us dare to risk our own lives for others, and to think that someone would face death to save the lives of animals is beyond comprehension. But that is what we saw when a natural disaster approached the Safari West Park in Santa Rosa.

The McMillan Park Reservoir Sand Filtration Site is a 25-acre Olmsted park bounded by North Capitol Street, NW; Michigan Avenue, NW; First Street, NW and Channing Street, NW. Structures on the site consist of twenty underground sand filtration chambers and two east-west service access courts on which stand rows of sand storage bins, sand washing equipment, and regulator houses.
Bea (Sherri) did a great job with this - people are telling me they love it. I helped - I converted the tiny 8-bit graphics to Illustrator vectors. Go me.
There's a lot of people we couldn't invite, which is a damn shame. I know they won't take it personally - we can't invite the whole world. The bulk of the guest list is family, natch.
Anyways, for those who for whatever reason can't make the ceremony / reception, something will be going on afterwards. We're not sure what, but it'll be fun.

I have made little dolls in the past, this one is different in that I used a silk pod for her face., and no longer use a wire body. I called her " Miss Bluebell", she took a long time to do, but I am pleased with the result. My husband, Bill, is a very good photographer, I do the set-up.
If I should struggle out there in the water, please grab the ring, jump the fence, cross the field (fear not the sheep!) and then throw....
this one is placed a bit funnily; maybe it's been located right there for many years, and the last piece of marshland has been dammed in, without anyone bothering to move the life post.... or maybe it will work against angry sheep, too?

Oil spilled from ships and oil rigs, poisons let run into the sea from some factories kills fish, birds and ruins beaches. Many creatures are killed every year by pollution. We all can help to save our seas by stop dumping rubbish into it.
