You saw me standing by the wall,
Corner of a main street
And the lights are flashing on your window sill
All alone ain't much fun,
So you're looking for the thrill
And you know just what it takes and where to go
Feel the breeze deep on the inside,
Look you down into your well
If you can, you'll see the world in all his fire
Take a chance
(Like all dreamers can't find another way)
You don't have to dream it all, just live a day
Don't say a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after...
...Pretty looking road,
Try to hold the rising floods that fill my skin
Don't ask me why I'll keep my promise,
Melt the ice
And you wanted to dance so I asked you to dance
But fear is in your soul...

"On February 8, 2008, Polaroid Corporation announced that it will discontinue production of all instant film. Save Polaroid is a movement and companion web site that documents the aftermath of this announcement and spearheads an effort to convince another company to produce the cherished technology that Polaroid has abandoned."
Update: support The Impossible Project for the re-invention of instant film!

We passed this pickup truck on I-74 on our way home, and I got Robin to take this picture of its homemade bumper sticker. As you might imagine, I don't share the bumper sticker's sentiment.
A lot of ink has been spilled in contemplation of the phenomenon of Donald Trump. I've devoted a decent amount of space here to it myself, though in recent months I've kind of backed off, because there's only so many times you can throw your hands in the air. But we're headed toward election season again, and the whole Pandemic thing has revealed once more just how incompetent and petty the guy is, so here we are.
I mean, there's a lot about this I don't get, but the thing I don't get most of all is that Donald Trump is very much at the heart of so many things the dudes who drive pickup trucks like this can't stand. He's a New York elite who hasn't worked a day in his life, has never picked up a hammer or a nail, wouldn't know a callous if one slapped him in the face. He's rich, but only because his daddy gave him money. Trump wouldn't waste an ounce of spit on one of these pickup truck guys if they were on fire. I mean, sure, Trump lets guys like this ride their motorcycles on the White House lawn, but that's just government property. He wouldn't allow one of these dudes within a mile of one of his fancy golf courses. Trump hates guys like this. Trump's spent his entire life up until 2016 running guys like this down. Sometimes literally.
And yet these guys worship the so-called man. They love him so much they'll scrawl notes to him in cheap paint on the back of their pickup trucks. It doesn't make sense.
