I could spend 24/7 with my dogs - I enjoy their company, but life necessitates that I have to leave them behind on occasion - AND THEY HATE IT!
Jimmy Dean is fast - if you are not quick to block him, he will lick you right in the mouth. My friend Jimmy has the "block" mastered: lips sucked in and mouth clamped shut.
Yesterday our dachsie did get a summer haircut. She picked it herself: she found it in a magazine. only she forgot it takes ages so almost 2 hours on a table and our old biddy was totally exhausted. But it was worth it. not to warm, but to be honest i prefer the longer hairs...
Looks like he's doing push-ups...= )
Dont we all love puppies.....
He's a Dachshund pup a.k.a - sausage dog
Brandy and her 9 Dachshund pups (a.k.a sausage dogs)
She really loves all of them.
This is BTW my aunts dog...she has 4 sausage dogs (now will be 5 ,as she will keep 1 brown female). I got my little nut from this same aunt.....I wont be taking another one as i'll be geting another dog by the 2nd of september...a chiwawa.
Brandy had 14 pups.....but 5 didnt make it .......apparently 14 pups is a record for this breed.
She looked like a MINI COW when she was carrying...hehe

I was in the park and this little boy ran up and asked if he could play with my dogs - I said sure - he proceeded to lay down and just let the dogs lick his face - he was laughing (when he could!) - they both had a great time. This is Jimmy Dean giving him the once over.

Moira is my niece. SHe was holding Jimmy Dean back - he was trying to lick her on the lips ( a favorite dachshund kissing location ).
Link and I together - The best I could do - I had to hold Link and the Camera and hold back Frank with my foot at the same time. Focus suffered but I got the shot.
His chocolate nose and fuzzy face - he was just as interested in the camera as the camera was interested in him!
When I got Jimmy Dean home from the vet he was in a very happy mood and showered (bathed) my face in kisses while beating out a cadence with his tail.
Today is the Australian Rules Grand Final held in the MCG. Normally more than 90,000 people squash into the stadium to scream for their team. But yesterday was the public holiday Grand Final Parade where many fans watched the team members get driven around on "Oh what a feeling" UTEs to receive the fans hopes.
This year the two teams in the final are the Sydney Swans ( formerly South Melbourne) and Brisbane Lions ( formerly Fitzroy). Exports from Melbourne to the rest of the east coast. The bright red and white showed up all over the city yesterday and fans also brought their dogs, resplendent in their best.

Walking the dog - pretty ugly beach, but yesterday was good. Another one of "those" days. Sunsets in Cape Town are just oh-so-easy.
Letting Jimmy Dean have one "Controlled" kiss of hello - If I let him go he will not stop licking until my face is raw.
At 3:40 a.m. (plus or minus 10 minutes), Jimmy Dean decided I need to be awaken so he could go out and take care of business. Don't get me wrong, I am glad he got me up instead of the alternative - but I sure wish he would have done his business last night! I can't even believe this photo came out. I had my Powershot S30 in the Nightstand drawer and the battery was low - I just reached for it, slid open the cover, aimed it at us and snapped a shot.
So this is todays photo entry for the 365 days group.
A man was walking his sausage dogs in the park and one poor little one had wheels to help his mobility. The man looked at me and said; "He used to work for Ryan air as a Trolly dolly".....oh that's interesting I thought as I walked away......i was sat there trying to work out the logistics, then I realised he'd been having me on :) lol
These were chocolate and vanilla cookies made for a friends school fund-raiser. I don't ever want to do these again!!!!!!! I feel like I have been doing these for weeks, fortunately I was organised and froze the cookies and made the fondant over time otherwise I would have been up all night and still not have them finished. And my chocolate cookies really spread so I had to trim them to get them in the bags!
Frank decided sitting in Bill's lap was the place to be; Jimmy Dean was a bit bored by the wait for Frank to move and let him get in for a little attention.
Lots of times, when Link falls asleep, his tongue slowly creeps out. If I touch it, he wiggles it and pulls it in - never waking. BUt give him a few minutes and out it will pop again.
Link has grown, at least to me, into a beautiful dog. I don't know how much longer his hair will get. On July 3 is his first birthday.
I love his eyes - everyone that see's him comments on the color.
Jimmy Dean finally got up, he was still tired and as soon as I took him for a walk he went right back to sleep. Link did likewise.
An older model that is based on my easy model "Wackeldackel".
