(Too) long ago i did a sunset long exposure... one of the most satisfying things in photography for me. After a long day we were rewarded with a beautiful sunset.
Thank you for watching,
kind regards,
Christophe.
Hiking along a trail in the deep woods can be so satisfying as right before your eyes you are presented with springtime magic !
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
Have a safe and wondrous adventure day dear Flickr friends !
Few things are more satisfying than going to a beautiful place that you have to slap on some boots and do some exertion to get to a place no vehicle or casual walk can reach. I also say this with a bit of melancholy as the number of years I have left that I can pull this off are dwindling down to a few. Still it was a beautiful day and one of the most enjoyable hikes I've done in a while. However I took so much time savoring nature's beauty by the time I got back to my car the sun had already set well below the horizon and it was minutes away from getting totally dark though I had a small but high powered flashlight in pack for that contingency.
One of these hard to catch moments, but satisfying when it happens. These Syrphid larvae are predators, which prey on aphids.

Although I don’t ride a bike, well not at least for 40 odd years, there is something satisfying about a bike. It’s solid, reliable (mainly), an art form, it has a place in our society, an environmental champion, a pleasure and a serious competitor.
There aren’t many things in life that fulfil those criteria, there will always be those detractors but for me the bike is a hero.
Finally I decided to put the house outside for my friends,
To me this is the most satisfying thing I do besides giving them seeds and water,
In return I get the most amazing photos of them eating it.
Have a nice weekend everyone!

“She found out that having something to do prevented you from feeling seasick, and that even a job like scrubbing a deck could be satisfying, if it was done in a seamanlike way. She was very taken with this notion, and later on she folded the blankets on her bunk in a seamanlike way, and put her possessions in the closet in a seamanlike way, and used 'stow' instead of 'tidy' for the process of doing so. After two days at sea, Lyra decided that this was the life for her.”

Having chased Q217 from Cincinnati, the hours were getting short for the prospects of a chase down the Shortline. Luckily enough the light held out for the classic LCl location at Sparta making the drive home all the more satisfying.
when choosing a shrub or tree for your garden... it is always more satisfying to choose a plant with different seasonal interest....

Couldnt resist stopping and taking a few photos whilst rising past in th the dark. Super cold morning with the path covered in frost and ice. Quite satisfying hearing it break under the tyres :)
A most satisfying B&W conversion, which captured and expresses the antiquity and presence of the ancient icon.

Ahhh, I finally had some time today. It's so much more satisfying to the soul shooting this way instead of just doing whatever to get the days photo done.
Kayaking the Keefer Lake shoreline affords one much to see and photograph. Sometimes it is the 'small' scenes that are most satisfying.

Amazing morning capturing a number of wrens singing. Wildlife photography is so often about all the ingredients coming together - as they did today. And never underestimate what's on you own doorstep - images like this of our common birds are often much more satisfying than more exotic subjects from far flung locations!
It's somehow quite satisfying to squeeze this soft and squishy little character. Made with a pliable outer coating, he's filled with some sort of malleable substance that is soft, but firm--if that makes sense--and he returns to his original shape when released from grip.
I think he's intended to be a stress relieving object. I received him as a giveaway item once during my working career (there's a corporate name on his back). And the best thing about it: No matter how hard or how many times you squeeze him, the little guy just keeps on smiling. :-)

between colorful October and dark December. Then, nearly every year, come a few November days of clear, crisp weather that make one wonder why November seldom gets its due :-)

I have no idea why but this triggered a memory the type of which seems to place my childhood in the dark ages and I really can't imagine that many of you will similar memories.
This put me in mind of the wallpaper of many years ago and wondering how big the pattern repeat was when you need to allow extra rolls for it. Now I don't remember where our mam (mother) bought our wallpaper from but we all had to sit cutting a half inch strip down a line at the sides as she didn't like the obvious line of an overlap...took us ages but was oddly satisfying.....memories in the corner of my mind..
Thank you so much dear Flickr friends for all your encouraging comments and faves. I enjoy reading them all and get inspiration from all your wonderful photography too....Sue

The county of Pieria is an area rich in attractions of great historical and archaeological interest to the visitor.
These attractions range from the wealth of findings at the Neolithic Settlement in Makrigialos through the remains of Pydna to the ruins of the City of Dion and the Castle at Platamonas. Monasteries and Churches are to be found in abundance, bearing witness to the extensive history of our area.
Mount Olympus, Titaros and the mountain range of Pieria, the coastal wetlands and the sea complete the integrated ecosystem of Pieria. Both taken as a whole and in its individual parts, the land of Pieria can be seen to be one of great environmental and natural wealth, with a particularly wide variety of plants and animals.
The prefecture of Pieria offers an ecological and aesthetic variety of great worth, a characteristic element in satisfying the most demanding visitor.
Few things in life are as satisfying as coming across a water source when you are backpacking. Hope you find a great new source of water today!
Have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend.
Well, this is kind of embarrasing... I really couldn't come up with any satisfying idea or shot for this weeks theme. When I tried a last ditch effort of crafting a bicycle with two step-rings and a couple of cotton swabs it failed spectacularly as well, because the glue wouldn't work.
And so I thought: well, it's called 'Smile' on Saturday after all, so I just went on to assemble some images I had into this abomination you see here... maybe it will make you smile at least!
My (poor) attempt at the "Smile on Saturday" theme "Bicycles".

It must be so satisfying to 'drive' a traction engine.
Thank you all for visiting - it is really appreciated. Have a good week.
The cue glides smoothly, and with a satisfying click, the 8 ball sinks into the corner pocket. Game over! Time for him to honor his bet and take us out for dinner. ❤️ Love Is! 💞
La queue glisse doucement et avec un clic satisfaisant, la bille 8 s'enfonce dans la poche du coin. Jeu terminé! Il est temps pour lui d'honorer son pari et de nous emmener dîner. ❤️ Des vies d'amour💞
After a very busy three weeks setting up and opening the studio, I am getting back to somewhere resembling normal, although smallest dude fell off his wooden horse and broke his arm and is now in plaster for a number of weeks! However, it is nearly springtime and the crocuses put on an amazing show and this evening the resident blackbird found his first song of 2017. Sigh.....I have missed you lovely people, your still my favourites even though I have dipped my toes into instagram (not nearly as satisfying as Flikr) and I promise to get around to you all in the next few days to see all the beautiful photos I've missed.
Alice's striking jacket and hair caught my attention. She was a real pro for the camera and said that I had made her day. This was the satisfying part of the street portrait session - I felt I was giving something back.

You might remember this Red-tailed Hawk from a couple of years ago, Bosque del Apache. I was very tickled with myself for spotting it before the SO did because he's SO much better than I at spotting. Most satisfying.
1991 Nissan Figaro
Styled, according to Nissan, to convey “a delicate feeling of stylish elegance in everyday life” while satisfying “a zestful desire for a good time,” this cutie’s charms puts you, your passenger, and every onlooker in a good mood. It’s a happy little car, one that timelessly pays tribute to vintage Italian, French and Japanese microcars. It’s remarkably ageless, retaining its bouncy charisma despite being 29 years old. ... really not much photography getting done around here at the moment but playing with inks, last night, was satisfying ...
...The grass is riz, I wonder where the boidies is?
Around here, all you have to do is walk out the door for an answer to that. It's full spring ahead in our Ottawa region and the boidies is lovin' it.
To us, the year's first satisfying sight and sound of the Canada Goose is the surest sign that spring is on the way. This happened a month and a half ago with the trails still clogged with snow, when that first familiar faint sound made me stop and bark, and a while later Dad stopped and said "Canada Geese!" Then a minute later he pointed, and a while later, I saw them. American robins followed and it was game over, winter.
I like to play in the snow, and I miss it, but really I take every day as it comes, as I always have, as all dogs do, and make the absolute best of it.
Now if you'll excuse me I need a nap.
"And it was going so well."
What'd I say?

This is not my first try but my first satisfying shot. I need to improve the technique but I am getting closer.
What do you think? Any suggestions for a better result?
