Approaching the gorgeous waterfall, it was harder as it seams. There was only two wooden beams as the construction basis and no path as such. Truth to be told it was more satisfying to have more challenging road.
There's such a satisfying feeling as a photographer, when you reach a location before sunrise, when everything is still dark and deep hues of blue and grey, and the first light of the sun begins to illuminate the world in front of your lens.
Standing in the depths of Zion Canyon on a blustery winter morning, my eyes tearing from the sub-freezing gusts, the anticipation is palpable. When the first hint of light starts to warm the Towers and Temple of the Virgin under a still deep blue sky, it is truly one of the Creator's great ceremonies.

Géranium vivace sanguineum
(Geranium sanguineum),

also called blood-red geranium or beak grass, is a herbaceous plant of the family Geraniaceae,
The species grows in Europe, Turkey and the Caucasus, is sometimes naturalized elsewhere.
It grows here and there throughout France.
It is a xerophile species, dry soils, growing in limestone pebbles, gravel, at the edge of woods, in clearings, on marly and limestone substrates.
This perennial geranium is a very good plant, easy to live with and very satisfying with its habit, its attractive semi-evergreen foliage and its long flowering period.
...than yesterday's but still not terribly satisfying. I think I'll leave the flower and foliage photographs to others who execute them with far more style and skill. I'm looking at you, Alvin Harp, ~DGH~, D Cunningham, and paulapics2.
These belonged to my grandfather and maybe his father. They are well over 100 years old. The pieces are bone pegged to very dark heavy wood that might be ebony. They are very tactile and make satisfying clacks in play!
Not lined up for play here, but "In a Row" nonetheless. For Macro Mondays. 65 layer focus stack rendered with HeliconFocus and Affinity Photo. Foreground FOV is about 1.3 inch wide.
I calculated, I uploaded 363 pictures to Flickr in 2021.
I hope that some of them touched your heart and left you with something.
I look back at them and see that each picture is a just snapshot of my wandering days in the in-world, and maybe it is really just a trivial record of my wanderings. But at every moment, I wanted to say something to you, and I made every attempt I could to do so, piece by piece.
Sometimes it took me days to do it, sometimes it was very easy. Some are satisfying, some are not, but all of them are memorable for me.
For most people, all the content on the Internet shines for only a few seconds, a little magic that makes them dream for a moment, a little sweet candy and like a shooting star that will soon be forgotten that it was even there.
But still, people continue to do that. Beyond that series of small moments, as long as someone keeps feeling something.
I feel that my wanderings this year have been very fulfilling, thanks to all your supports.
The many Favs and comments have encouraged me. I really appreciate it.
A shooting star shines strongly for a moment, and then quickly disappears.
How should we live in that moment?

The false summit is only a few meters below the true summit. But a deep rift separates them. Arriving at the false summit is already very satisfying!
To access the true summit there are two technical stretches. The first is the descent along a wall of about 5 meters (16,40 ft) to the base of the peak. The second is the ascent up the sidewall of the peak.
That moment is the most exciting part of the trip!
One of the most beautiful places I've had the pleasure of visiting!
Found time to go out and capture some sunset pictures. I was expecting some colours explosion but not much. Any way found this composition that was satisfying in balance.
nothing so satisfying and exhilarating at the same time as standing in the darkness of an Arctic night watching the aurora unfold and trying to record these furtive moments in time.
I'm surprised with this as the light was poor, my shutter speed was slow and his is very copped. My first ever red kite at low level, not the best but very satisfying

Another cherry blossom from last year's visit to TV Asahi Cherry Blossom Alley at the Mauerweg between Berlin and Teltow. This year's cherry blossom has only just begun because we're having a fairly cold spring (with the exception of this weekend, but the cold will return tomorrow), and in a small street around the corner that is lined with lovely cherry trees, the blossoms are only just about to fully open.
I've photographed this blossom with the GRIII. The 28mm focal length GR lens is very sharp and it's also an amazingly good close-up lens, but at f2.8 as the widest-open aperture, it can be tricky to get a nice background blur. Here, the blossom was popping out amidst many other blossoms, so the backdrop was very busy and distracting. Since I liked how the blossom itself had turned out (apart from the fact that there's a good amount of blur right at the center – Sharpen AI dealt with that in a satisfying enough way so it's pleasant to look at, I think), I had to do something about the background. I didn't simply want to blur it out in LR or even completely remove it in PS because I liked the springy-fresh colours of the background, so I created two layers in PS, one with the blossom only, the other with the complete image, and opened the latter in Analog Efex where began to play around with the Zoom filter and the Dust and Scratches filter palette. As finishing touches I added the thin image border and hit the Primary Color sliders in LR. I hope you like this candy-coloured cherry blossom slider :)
Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone!
Robbie Junior looks confused. He misunderstood his mom’s instructions to use the tree as a vantage point to more easily locate the worms as instead pointing to the tree as the source of the worms. This is all part of the growing up experience. He will figure it out eventually. In the meantime he will continue searching for the elusive something. Possibly not quite as spiritually motivated as in "The River of Dreams" but nonetheless just as satisfying upon discovery. Perhaps even more so.
This photograph with colourful clouds and cloudlets was taken at Lower Seletar Reservoir.
The sun was hidden by thick clouds, but illuminated brightly some of the clouds and cloudlets, as seen above the trees and palms of Orchid Country Club. It was satisfying to capture the gorgeous landscape yesterday morning.
Best wishes for the new week.
This impressive peak is an icon of central Switzerland, so it’s very satisfying to reach the top and do a little victory dance. The panorama views are spectacular and it’s fun to look around at other familiar hiking areas, like Stoos and Rigi, from this vantage point. At the top, there is a small partially fenced observation area and a mountain hut serving drinks, cakes, and simple meals.

Although I don’t ride a bike, well not at least for 40 odd years, there is something satisfying about a bike. It’s solid, reliable (mainly), an art form, it has a place in our society, an environmental champion, a pleasure and a serious competitor.
There aren’t many things in life that fulfil those criteria, there will always be those detractors but for me the bike is a hero.

“I remember that pomegranate well- the leathery red skin, the fleshy weight of it in my hand promising wine-sweet clusters of ruby fruit. As I lifted it off the pile, I imagined the satisfying crunch, the release of tangy perfume, the juices glazing my lips and running down my chin. Ah, that biblical fruit with its poignant umbilical tip, choice of the gods and food of the dead.”

About the series & the forbidden Forest
My dear Flickr-Friends,
All of the Photos were shot in a Forest, which the German Wehrmacht and the American Army used as a military training area. Many deadly duds are still hiding in the ground and leaving the official paths is strictly forbidden. For each photo, I want to share some information about the place, my technique or my editing. For me the work was extremely satisfying. Alone in the forest I was able to see its different faces and I also like the final results very much. I hope you can enjoy my Photos as much as I did and if you like, leave a comment and I will try to answer adequately :)

HIGH FIDELITY – KIDS FROM FAME
I met a man upon a bridge
with Heaven all around
I met him squarely on the ridge
he spoke to me without a sound
I asked him did he speak in Mandarin
his twinkling eyes looked all around
he pointed to the Eastern side
and there I saw upon the ground
beneath the weeping Willow trees
I was happy to have found
two Mandarin ducks so happily
walking on the grassy mound
I thanked him as I turned away
returned his smile and then he spoke
a richly warm and satisfying
baritone like plumes of smoke
smoothed and soothed and clung to me
preserved that feeling in my memory
he had two dogs who followed me
before he called them back; a mystery
for when I turned again to see
he and the dogs were gone
I was left bereft; a feeling so bewildering
a momentary skimming like a stone across the pond
a skipping of my heart
the beating pounding in my chest
echoing all around me
before the silence fell I must confess
I wondered if he was an angel
watching over me
communication needs no words
if we are one in harmony
and now the singing of the birds
broke through my reverie
the scene was filled and teemed with life
as I searched for the Mandarin ducks: verily
I could have stayed here for the longest time
made a home beneath the Willows
at one with nature I feel complete
soft downy ducks would be my pillows
two ravens flew high over head
other ducks and coots and moorhen
little rabbits all coexist
within this haven I call Heaven.

“December is a bewitching month.
The grey of cold teases
to explode into something worthwhile,
into a dream of cold,
a starlight shower you can taste,
a cold that does not chill.
I've lost my memory
of my first snow--
did I gasp at a field of white?
Or scream at the freeze
untill my cheeks reddened?
The crunch underfoot is satisfying
and the thrill of virgin snow
near leaves.”

It was indeed a satisfying moment for me to shoot it!
From Tennessee WarblerWhisperer photo journey. 5/17/2020.
I was helping a client photograph a Kentucky Warbler and I heard this warbler singing softly nearby. He ended up responding even better than the Kentucky which is one of the advantages in knowing your habitat and your songs as many warblers are found by hearing them rather than by seeing them. Being able to work a perch or perches with more than one species is not always an option but when it is an option it can bring some satisfying results.
Taking into account that San Diego is quite prone to droughts and water shortages, two weeks of rain were very welcome to us here. I turned off my sprinkler system and enjoyed free water. It's so satisfying to see how beautiful San Diego has become—the places that were usually straw-yellow during summer months are a gorgeous jade green now.
I used to think that warm weather would prevent the virus from spreading, but as things progressed, it became clear that the "temperature theory" doesn't hold up in reality. The virus is even active in places like Indonesia, where temperatures can average about 86°F (about 30°C).
to be in direct and personal contact with the sources of your material life; to want no extras, no shields; to find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk, or an evening saunter; to find a quest of wild berries more satisfying than a gift of tropic fruit; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest, or over a wild flower in spring — there are some of the rewards of the simple life :-)

Stood among the conifers, juggling position and exposure to ensure I didn't blow out parts of the tree I was shielding the lens behind, this was a tricky but satisfying shot. Sometimes when I shoot sun rays I am in awe and its easy to forget to take the shot :)
There’s nothing more satisfying than expressing myself with aesthetic jewelry pieces like this Heartsdale Jewelry’s Deux necklace and earring collection which best conveys my personality and puts a smile on my face.
Wearing these beautiful eclectic pieces exudes vibrant energy which resonates with my soul and uplifts my spirits almost instantly. I really enjoy Nino's keen eye for detailing in her designs which evokes an individualistic sense of style.

Warm winter afternoon light baths the daily northbound Central Vermont freight at Stafford Springs, CT. The CV was one of those "shoulda, coulda" done more railroads, considering I lived only a little over 2 hours away. What little I do have of the CV is highly satisfying to me, though!
We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.

I went to Queen Elizabeth Park with Flickr friend, Katrina, and saw this very cool sculpture there covered with love locks. The title of the statue is "Love in the Rain" because it has four decorative umbrellas over top of it, and it does rain a lot in Vancouver!
For some reason, many of your images are not showing up in my daily feed. If I've ignored you, it's not on purpose!

come a few November days of clear, crisp weather that make one wonder why November seldom gets its due.
There is the touch of November air, chill enough to have a slight tang, like properly aged cider. Not air that caresses, nor yet air that nips. Air that makes one breathe deeply and think of spring water and walk briskly :-)

Life was not intended to be simply a round of work, no matter how interesting and important that work may be. A moment’s pause to watch the glory of a sunrise or a sunset is soul-satisfying, while a bird's song will set the steps to music all day long. ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder

Yesterday I went to Boscombe beach in search of rainbows.
Although it was the right weather, I never actually though I'd see one. Cue mass panic as I changed my lens.
There is something very satisfying about capturing a rainbow that isn't over my neighbours house. Hengistbury Head is in the distance.
