Approaching the gorgeous waterfall, it was harder as it seams. There was only two wooden beams as the construction basis and no path as such. Truth to be told it was more satisfying to have more challenging road.

There's such a satisfying feeling as a photographer, when you reach a location before sunrise, when everything is still dark and deep hues of blue and grey, and the first light of the sun begins to illuminate the world in front of your lens.

Standing in the depths of Zion Canyon on a blustery winter morning, my eyes tearing from the sub-freezing gusts, the anticipation is palpable. When the first hint of light starts to warm the Towers and Temple of the Virgin under a still deep blue sky, it is truly one of the Creator's great ceremonies.

During the winter months it is a project that is quite satisfying.

Tiny honeyeater with a short tail. Adult males have striking bright red face and rump, black wings and back, and gray underparts. Adult females have small amounts of faint red on the face but lack the red rump. Juveniles are similar to adult females but have less red on the face. Typically found in coastal habitats: almost exclusively in mangroves and adjacent forest. (eBird)

The only time we saw this tiny honeyeater during our trip. He was far more interested in these flowers than in satisfying the demands of the travelling birder.

These belonged to my grandfather and maybe his father. They are well over 100 years old. The pieces are bone pegged to very dark heavy wood that might be ebony. They are very tactile and make satisfying clacks in play!

Not lined up for play here, but "In a Row" nonetheless. For Macro Mondays. 65 layer focus stack rendered with HeliconFocus and Affinity Photo. Foreground FOV is about 1.3 inch wide.

...than yesterday's but still not terribly satisfying. I think I'll leave the flower and foliage photographs to others who execute them with far more style and skill. I'm looking at you, Alvin Harp, ~DGH~, D Cunningham, and paulapics2.

I calculated, I uploaded 363 pictures to Flickr in 2021.

I hope that some of them touched your heart and left you with something.

I look back at them and see that each picture is a just snapshot of my wandering days in the in-world, and maybe it is really just a trivial record of my wanderings. But at every moment, I wanted to say something to you, and I made every attempt I could to do so, piece by piece.

Sometimes it took me days to do it, sometimes it was very easy. Some are satisfying, some are not, but all of them are memorable for me.

For most people, all the content on the Internet shines for only a few seconds, a little magic that makes them dream for a moment, a little sweet candy and like a shooting star that will soon be forgotten that it was even there.

But still, people continue to do that. Beyond that series of small moments, as long as someone keeps feeling something.

I feel that my wanderings this year have been very fulfilling, thanks to all your supports.

The many Favs and comments have encouraged me. I really appreciate it.

A shooting star shines strongly for a moment, and then quickly disappears.

How should we live in that moment?

A cold and clear winter afternoon as the sun lowered to the west and set these ancient hills ablaze with light and color.

I am asked when to capture the hills in their brightest colors. My best success has occurred in late afternoon winter light an hour or so before golden-hour. Earlier in the day often disappoints hopeful visitors, arriving to find the hills in muted even dull grayish hues. Also, a sky studded with brilliant white cumulus clouds makes for satisfying even spectacular images.

I am grateful for your visit and comments. Thanks much!

The false summit is only a few meters below the true summit. But a deep rift separates them. Arriving at the false summit is already very satisfying!

To access the true summit there are two technical stretches. The first is the descent along a wall of about 5 meters (16,40 ft) to the base of the peak. The second is the ascent up the sidewall of the peak.

That moment is the most exciting part of the trip!

One of the most beautiful places I've had the pleasure of visiting!

* Our recent trip to Bempton Cliffs was almost perfect sunshine no wind and lots of birds but no Puffins could we spot . There are not so many nesting there this year . However we were lucky we found a flat piece of grass on the edge of the cliffs and thought it was a good place to have lunch . Perfect really blue sea warm sunshine and Gannets flying about. Suddenly a Puffin landed on the cliff edge it stayed for perhaps 30 seconds just enough time to put down a sandwich pick up the camera and get three or four reasonable shots. Not perfect by any means but I am happy enough with them to share them

Didn’t need desert after that it was a very satisfying repast

THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH. ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED

This photograph with colourful clouds and cloudlets was taken at Lower Seletar Reservoir.

The sun was hidden by thick clouds, but illuminated brightly some of the clouds and cloudlets, as seen above the trees and palms of Orchid Country Club. It was satisfying to capture the gorgeous landscape yesterday morning.

Best wishes for the new week.

I'm surprised with this as the light was poor, my shutter speed was slow and his is very copped. My first ever red kite at low level, not the best but very satisfying

nothing so satisfying and exhilarating at the same time as standing in the darkness of an Arctic night watching the aurora unfold and trying to record these furtive moments in time.

This impressive peak is an icon of central Switzerland, so it’s very satisfying to reach the top and do a little victory dance. The panorama views are spectacular and it’s fun to look around at other familiar hiking areas, like Stoos and Rigi, from this vantage point. At the top, there is a small partially fenced observation area and a mountain hut serving drinks, cakes, and simple meals.

Bicycles

Although I don’t ride a bike, well not at least for 40 odd years, there is something satisfying about a bike. It’s solid, reliable (mainly), an art form, it has a place in our society, an environmental champion, a pleasure and a serious competitor.

There aren’t many things in life that fulfil those criteria, there will always be those detractors but for me the bike is a hero.

“I remember that pomegranate well- the leathery red skin, the fleshy weight of it in my hand promising wine-sweet clusters of ruby fruit. As I lifted it off the pile, I imagined the satisfying crunch, the release of tangy perfume, the juices glazing my lips and running down my chin. Ah, that biblical fruit with its poignant umbilical tip, choice of the gods and food of the dead.”

About the series & the forbidden Forest

My dear Flickr-Friends,

All of the Photos were shot in a Forest, which the German Wehrmacht and the American Army used as a military training area. Many deadly duds are still hiding in the ground and leaving the official paths is strictly forbidden. For each photo, I want to share some information about the place, my technique or my editing. For me the work was extremely satisfying. Alone in the forest I was able to see its different faces and I also like the final results very much. I hope you can enjoy my Photos as much as I did and if you like, leave a comment and I will try to answer adequately :)

The spiral staircase at the Queen's House in Greenwich. A place for satisfying my Fibonacci-philia.

I am not always lucky to get this view and moment everyday!!

It was indeed a satisfying moment for me to shoot it!

Always satisfying to get a decent shot of a spider wasp, given how hyperactive they are.

Technically imperfect but artistically satisfying....mid-of-the-week creativity excercises....

From Tennessee WarblerWhisperer photo journey. 5/17/2020.

I was helping a client photograph a Kentucky Warbler and I heard this warbler singing softly nearby. He ended up responding even better than the Kentucky which is one of the advantages in knowing your habitat and your songs as many warblers are found by hearing them rather than by seeing them. Being able to work a perch or perches with more than one species is not always an option but when it is an option it can bring some satisfying results.

to be in direct and personal contact with the sources of your material life; to want no extras, no shields; to find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk, or an evening saunter; to find a quest of wild berries more satisfying than a gift of tropic fruit; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest, or over a wild flower in spring — there are some of the rewards of the simple life :-)

Taking into account that San Diego is quite prone to droughts and water shortages, two weeks of rain were very welcome to us here. I turned off my sprinkler system and enjoyed free water. It's so satisfying to see how beautiful San Diego has become—the places that were usually straw-yellow during summer months are a gorgeous jade green now.

I used to think that warm weather would prevent the virus from spreading, but as things progressed, it became clear that the "temperature theory" doesn't hold up in reality. The virus is even active in places like Indonesia, where temperatures can average about 86°F (about 30°C).

Stood among the conifers, juggling position and exposure to ensure I didn't blow out parts of the tree I was shielding the lens behind, this was a tricky but satisfying shot. Sometimes when I shoot sun rays I am in awe and its easy to forget to take the shot :)

Warm winter afternoon light baths the daily northbound Central Vermont freight at Stafford Springs, CT. The CV was one of those "shoulda, coulda" done more railroads, considering I lived only a little over 2 hours away. What little I do have of the CV is highly satisfying to me, though!

For me, presents are a HUGE deal . . .

Usually they're handmade . . .

which is the JOY of the gift giving.

But finding complimentary wrap is equally as satisfying.

Hardest part is locating properly sized shipping boxes!

We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.

I went to Queen Elizabeth Park with Flickr friend, Katrina, and saw this very cool sculpture there covered with love locks. The title of the statue is "Love in the Rain" because it has four decorative umbrellas over top of it, and it does rain a lot in Vancouver!

For some reason, many of your images are not showing up in my daily feed. If I've ignored you, it's not on purpose!

I continue to be a fan of woodpeckers, and I continue to chase these fascinating birds around, trying to get satisfying photos of each species. I have a few species to go, and I have several better photos to go, too.

I first captured the LBWP a few years ago in Arizona, but I wasn't satisfied, so I kept after this guy when in Texas this year. Surprisingly hard to get a good photo of the LBWP. I had a few shots on tree trunks that were fine, but none of them shined. This shot is a little different. Conditions were a bit dark because of dissipating rain. The bird's beak is open because the temperatures and humidity were high. I try to avoid shots during heat when the birds are essentially panting like dogs, but this is the shot I like best for now.

As with all bird photography, the hunt continues. A better shot is always out there.

Here, satisfying her sweet tooth in the garden.

come a few November days of clear, crisp weather that make one wonder why November seldom gets its due.

There is the touch of November air, chill enough to have a slight tang, like properly aged cider. Not air that caresses, nor yet air that nips. Air that makes one breathe deeply and think of spring water and walk briskly :-)

Yesterday I went to Boscombe beach in search of rainbows.

Although it was the right weather, I never actually though I'd see one. Cue mass panic as I changed my lens.

There is something very satisfying about capturing a rainbow that isn't over my neighbours house. Hengistbury Head is in the distance.

I took a long wander along Hoppers Lane and around the Sneydes Rd. Paddock this morning. What a great morning it was! So I am way behind with Flickr today will catch up with your images soon.

Life was not intended to be simply a round of work, no matter how interesting and important that work may be. A moment’s pause to watch the glory of a sunrise or a sunset is soul-satisfying, while a bird's song will set the steps to music all day long. ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder
