Meet Sasquatch, my newest critter. Also known as Sassy. She is a Roborovski hamster, which is the smallest of all hamsters, growing to be about 2 inches.
When I was out looking to get two pet rats, I saw this type of hamster in one of the pet stores and thought they were so cute and extra cute due to their small size. I wanted one for Christmas, but as you can tell she came a little early! Yippy! My husband got her for me on Friday.
I wanted to name her something very different……but why Sasquatch?…….well just look at her…she’s so huge and hairy. A big beast! Haha! I had a few other names picked out, but in the end Sasquatch won. Here are some other names that my husband and I came up with.
Anchovy
Hippo (second choice)
Acorn
Monster
Penelope
I love my tiny fur ball!
I feel this pic sums up the sasquatch experience best.

Sasquatch Mountain Resort is a small ski resort located in the Douglas Ranges near Chehalis, British Columbia, Canada, between the towns of Mission and Agassiz. Formly known as Hemlock Resort. Located just north of Chilliwack BC and a three and a half hour drive from Kelowna BC., the former Hemlock resort has been renamed as Sasquatch Mountain Resort.
A great place to become a great skier, excellent teachers.
The name was chosen because the sasquatch is the primary caretaker of the Sts’ailes’ Traditional Territory, where the mountain is located and “an integral aspect of the Sts’ailes’ identity and spiritual beliefs.”
Sasquatch Mountain Resort is located about 25 kilometres from Sasquatch Provincial Park.
Totally humbled by this awesome random act of kindness! 🙏 A huge thanks to serg.granados for sending along this elusive Sasquatch patch! I can't thank you enough brother, it sure will look great on the EDC bag!
