During our annual week with 6 of us in Cape Cod, MA. we eat a lot of healthy food but at least twice we go to the fish shack for delectables like fried scallops with french fries.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to fill this out! There has been so many who applied, and we thank you all!

Basically, we will be prioritizing bloggers who post about deco and poses. Some fashion blogs might be accepted if they have some deco post that are well put, so we expect they do good in a decor post for us!

We will be sending a group invite (inworld) in a few days after we get all the names sorted out! Again thank you and we look forward to working with the ones who will be selected! <3

When you go to Paya Meadows, at the height of 10,000 feet, everything comes to your feet. Specially Sari which is around one thousand feet below where I am standing at the moment.. and clouds playing the game of 'hide and seek'. This is not the only view you have around, the valley beneath you is around five thousand feet deep and the whole valley is surrounded by the spectacular mountain range of Kohistan with lush green all around and snow capped mountain tops.

The experience of the life time start when you receive the twists and turn of the weather at Paya.

I met Anna in the botanical gardens outside Kandy in Sri Lanka late summer 2008. It was one of those serendipitous meetings that changed the course of my travels, and life. We met only a short moment before I was going to a two week retreat in the temple, but again by chance we met up on the south coast and ended up traveling Sri Lanka for two weeks together. Anna was also on a long journey from home and the more time we spent together the closer we got. After Sri Lanka she left for Thailand and we weren’t sure if we’d ever see each other again. But when she was ending her journey with a two months stay in India, we decided to go for another adventure together.

It turned out to be one of the best times I’ve had so far on my trip. Granted it was difficult at times since we had both traveled alone for almost a year, and getting used to having someone else around you took some time. But even though we did get on each other’s nerves from time to time we were perfect for traveling together and it was nice to have someone who watched my back, and also to have someone to take care of. I do enjoy traveling by myself since the company is always good ; ) But traveling with her was different and opened me up to so many things that I would have never seen or experienced otherwise.

It was with tears in our eyes that we finally went separate ways. After two months in India, having managed to get caught up in the middle of the terrorist strikes of Mumbai, being exposed to E coli to the point where Anna had to go to the hospital and get fluids intravenously, and during all of this we saw some of the best India had to offer. The Sikhs offering free food in the Golden temple, magical evenings in Udaipur and spiritual journeys in McLeoid. I don’t know if I’ll ever meet her again but I know I’ll always remember all the adventures we had together :,)

This particular photo was taken on the rooftop of our hotel in Jaipur. Anna had bought a Sari and looked even more stunningly beautiful than usual. She doesn’t like posing for the camera, even though she looks like a model, but I didn’t really give her any choice which turned out to be fortunate. I’ve got a whole series of beautiful shots from that day and she really does look good in a sari!

A group of smiling women in red saris enjoying their outing to the Galtji (Monkey) Temple in Jaipur India.

A sari (saree or shari) is a traditional Indian Hindu woman's garment that consists of an unstitched drape varying from 4.5 to 9 meters (15 to 30 feet) in length and 60 to 1,20 centimeters (24 to 47 inches) in breadth that is typically wrapped around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder, baring a portion of the midriff. The Galtaji Monkey Temple near Jaipur, in Rajasthan, India is a popular tourist and Hindu pilgrim destination. The site, which dates back to the 1500's, consists of a series of Hindu temples built into a narrow crevice in the hills that surround Jaipur. Water from a natural spring flows into a series of sacred pools (kunds) in which pilgrims bathe and youths play.

The ladies in India all were fantastic, colorful, sarees. It is a strip of unstitched cloth, ranging from four to nine metres in length that is draped over the body in various styles. The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder baring the midriff. The fabics, patterns and colors are truly eye catching and glourious to behold.

The colours of India.

[day 6]

I am love with all the gorgeous colors and patterns. They make me happy.

It is so much easier to take a picture in public when the picture you are taking is NOT a self-portrait. LOL! Of course I tried to be pretty casual about the whole picture taking thing and hope that no one would notice. I guess I was worried that someone would tell me to stop.

One of these days I will make my own sari with the fabric that was sent to me as a gift from some of my previous co-workers. It is such a lovely shade of orangey/yellowy/rust. But as is typical me....it sits safely wrapped in the bag in which it was sent.
