Allahabad, by the Ganga River, the day before the sacred bathe of the Maha Kumbh Mela. Some women were drying their saris in the beautiful light of the sunset.

Macro Mondays 'cloth' theme.
This is a tiny section of a piece of recycled sari cloth that I bought to use as furoshiki wrap.
The image measures 1.5" in widht.
Sari-d'Orcino est un village type de l’intérieur, de moyenne montagne (alt. 350 m en moyenne), entre mer et montagne.Le village est situé à 28 km d’Ajaccio et 9 km de la mer (< 3 km à vol d’oiseau)Le village s’étend sur plusieurs hameaux, distants les uns des autres de 0.5 à 5 km,Certains hameaux datent de la fondation du village ou plutôt de sa reconstruction à la fin du XVe siècle
Le rivage n'est pas très proche, mais Sari-d'Orcino « regarde néanmoins la mer droit dans les yeux » et sa position surélevée en fait un balcon surplombant la Méditerranée.
🇬🇧 Sari-d'Orcino is a typical inland village, located in the mid-mountains (average altitude 350 m), between the sea and the mountains. The village is located 28 km from Ajaccio and 9 km from the sea (less than 3 km as the crow flies). The village extends over several hamlets, 0.5 to 5 km apart. Some hamlets date back to the village's foundation, or rather its reconstruction at the end of the 15th century.
The village overlooks the sea and the ruins of the "Castellu di Capraja" of the Counts of Cinarca. The shore is not very close, but Sari-d'Orcino nevertheless "looks the sea straight in the eye" and its elevated position makes it a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean.

🇩🇪 Sari-d'Orcino ist ein typisches Dorf im Landesinneren, in mittlerer Höhenlage (durchschnittlich 350 m), zwischen Meer und Bergen. Das Dorf liegt 28 km von Ajaccio und 9 km vom Meer entfernt (< 3 km Luftlinie). Das Dorf erstreckt sich über mehrere Weiler, die 0,5 bis 5 km voneinander entfernt sind. Einige Weiler stammen aus der Zeit der Gründung des Dorfes oder vielmehr aus der Zeit seines Wiederaufbaus Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts.
Der Horizont des Dorfes wird vom Meer und den Ruinen des „Castellu di Capraja” der Grafen von Cinarca geprägt. Die Küste ist nicht ganz in der Nähe, aber dennoch „blickt” Sari-d'Orcino „dem Meer direkt in die Augen” und seine erhöhte Lage macht es zu einem Balkon über dem Mittelmeer.

Il villaggio ha come orizzonte il mare e le rovine del "Castellu di Capraja" dei conti di Cinarca. La costa non è vicinissima, ma Sari-d'Orcino "guarda il mare negli occhi" e la sua posizione elevata lo rende un balcone sul Mediterraneo.
EL Sari es el vestido mas popular entre las mujeres de la India. Las mujeres se visten con esta prenda desde hace mas de 5.000 años. Es un trozo de tela de un metro de ancho por seis de largo. En ocasiones ricamente adornado, generalmente de seda o algodón.
