Zodiac Signs Makeup - ⛎ Pisces 12/12 ⛎

A little bit more than a year ago I attempted to make it to the NYX Face Awards Top 30 with a Pisces makeup. I did not make it 😅. But my pisces makeup was the first of a 12 months makeup series inspired by Zodiac Signs, planets, mythology & other magical things !

It took me a long time to create this second edition of Pisces, partly because the end of something is always a bit sad (although it's also the start of something new 👍😌!) but mostly because I needed to make props with worbla for this makeup, and I'd never used worbla before!! So I was fucking scared, to tell you the truth . My props are not perfect, far from it 😑... but there's a first to everything and I only had a few hours yesterday afternoon to make them ! Worbla is so awesome. I'm going to make a Link sword !!! and a shit ton of crows and tiaras.... but anyway !! I hope you like this last zodiac makeup, I'll let my brain rest for a while (like a couple hours 😂) and I'll pick a new series for the next 12 months!!

I used to say "Pokemon?!! I'll never watch this ! It looks so dumb and childish..." But there's a French proverb that says "only idiots won't change their mind" so I guess I'm smart after all! My husband MADE me watch my first Pokemon movie a few months ago and I just couldn't resist the cuteness of it. Since then I've finished AAAALL of the tv shows and movies on netflix =(... even bought the game for the switch.... and ended up doing this Pikachu bodypaint. With a twist, all right.

This makeup took me 6 hours 😋 I made Iago with paper and bodypaint. The shoulders are also made of paper and painted in black. The headdress is made of cardboard and then painted as well.. finally, the feather and goatee are made of paper and yes, painted. 😬 So I guess the whole thing took more than 6 hours but who's counting, right? 😅

There's something mysterious and a little bit disturbing about masks. They hide you and yet they show a lot of emotions. It's messed up, I know !!! ______________________

For this collab, Julie and I decided to go for the world-famous, colorful and sparkling Venice Carnival and we both came up with two completely different looks ! I love Julie's soft colors and magical touch.

I personally had a very hard time picking a theme for my mask because the possibilities are just endless (type "venice mask" on google and see for yourself lol) . For days I didn't know if I wanted to create a sexy look or a creepy one or a floral one or one that was mainly composed of laces... It took me a week to finally go for this clownish, kinda creepy, card obsessed character ! I made the headdress with cardboard and painted it. The cards on my neck are real tarot game cards. Everything else is paint and eyeshadows.

Here's my makeup for the awesome "Where nightmares come from" collaboration I was invited to ! I spent 6 hours on this piece and I'll tell you the truth, after spending 6 hours painting something that would litterally scare me to death, I didn't feel at ease at all and longed for some light and human company !!! Luckily my mom visited me right after I had finished the makeup lol

Did nature just wake up one day thinking "ok today I'm gonna create a badass colorful creature with feathers that look like eye"? 😲

It's going to be Spring 🌱🌷before we know so I decided it was about time I did a Winter Queen lol 😅

We had an incredible wave of cold (and lots of snow!😍) these last few days so I figured it wasn't really too late to give life to an ice sovereign 😁

I got super gorgeous grey contacts from ColouredContactsUk (thank you guys!!! I love them)

The blue jewelery set is unfortunately fake (😩), it's "just" paint... That piece really gave me a hard time 😱😅

Hey guys !

Please meet my "Toothless" Vampire... I'm saying toothless because I failed at making my own teeth and ended up painting them. The story behind this makeup is "funny" because you see, for once I wanted to do a quick and easy makeup, not something that would require 7 hours of bodypainting. You know? This vampire makeup in itself took me about a couple hours, 3 at most but the teeth... the teeth holy shit!!! I must have spent 3 hours elaborating different techniques, all completely retarded and desperate... : I tried actual sfx teeth (but really cheap ones unfortunately), wax, wax + cotton, paper, cardboard, clay, plastic.... I burnt myself with boiling water and cut myself with plastic teeth... It was too last minute, I know lol. Defeated, mildly pissed, I looked at my desk, covered in blood and pieces of paper and cotton and caps... a battlefield lol. Makeup isn't always the most relaxing hobby, trust me ! So it is with mix feelings that I'm sharing my vampire. Disappointed but determined to do better next time.
