As we were leaving the Greg Rolie concert, we came across this man, singing a song which seemed to consist almost entirely of asking "Why is this rabbit on my head?" over and over, until the rabbit jumped off. Once he repositioned the rabbit, it continued as before.

We only had an hour there.

The weekend before Katie's birthday we took her and another friend to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. They spent the morning playing in the sand and the afternoon riding rides at the boardwalk. I wanted to get a picture of Katie and Samantha on the Sea Swings and so, while they were waiting in line, I took some "test" shots of the group before them riding the swings. I love the whimsical feel of the shot, like the riders are swinging in the clouds. Next time I'll use a slightly faster shutter speed to get everything super sharp. The shots of Samantha and Katie were "head on" (naturally) and don't have the same feel to them. Anyway, just goes to show that you need to take photos to make good photos and sometimes "test" shots end up being keepers.
