I feel really good right now.

Why?

Well because I woke up at four, threw some clothes on, and ran with Fozzie Bear until six. Took a warm shower before all the hot water ran out, which it rarely does thanks to Dave the plumber.

I prepared some of the food samples for the slumber party, and brought them by the Jeffersons' house. Ashley wrote down the some of her favorite foods. One of them were spicy shrimp and mushroom skewers with vegetables. That's insane, because she is like 10, and I rarely ever eat such a thing and I'm fifteen.

So I made a plate of these, for her parent's and her siblings who wanted some too, which everyone to my surprise liked. YAY!

YES!

OH YEAH!

I'm sorry I just needed that outlet.

Then I baked some cupcakes Isabella might want. Then we went threw some magazines and stuff to see what kind of dress she might want and the fabric.

I've been really busy, but all this means dad will be happier with a new car. And it means I get a new car.

And today I got a few other events. A bunch of people are holding a party and the theme is anything superhero-related. This, will be AWESOME.

The cocktail party = Kit Kat cake

The last event is a Josie's birthday. She wants to have it in the lobby, which I thought was impossible. But Mr. Anderson, the manager of the building, said he would allow her to throw her party there. The theme? Pink, zebra print, and SPARKLES!!!

Finally got enough of the field showing to take some soil samples. I dry them out and send them to the Extension laboratory. They tell me what the nutrient and organic material levels are. They will also make recommendations for amendments if needed.

New England soils tend toward acidity so lime is occasionally needed to keep the pH within the range the plants like it. Different crops have different pH requirements, also.

I take several samples from a field and mix them, then spread them out and put them through a coarse screen to get the big chunks of stuff (sticks, rocks) out. I dry it so it's cheaper to mail to the laboratory. No point in sending them water.

The containers are labelled because I have to know which soil goes with which field. There are only 4 samples because not all the fields are dry enough to take samples. I'll send another batch later.

IAEA marine experts and Japanese scientists collect water samples in coastal waters near the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Since the accident at the plant in March 2011, the Japanese authorities have been continually monitoring the levels of radioactivity in sea water and publishing the results. In an effort to verify the accuracy of these results and increase public confidence in what is being reported, the IAEA is undertaking joint sampling missions. The water samples were shared between the IAEA Environment Laboratories and Japanese laboratories. They will be analysed independently and the results will be compared to check the quality of the analyses and document the reliability of data.

For those who've asked about the durability of this product, you can see the sample here which I put to the test before buying it. This was nowhere near normal wear and tear. I even had a friend stomp on it with her high heels and couldn't even see where she'd stomped! I used a knife handle because it's a small concentrated force. I hit it HARD. If you went all out, you'd see gouge marks and big dents but a reasonable test has to be fair.
