George explains proper sampling technique for 14C in DIC (dissolved inorganic carbon). We'll use this to track what's left of the "bomb peak" of radiocarbon from atomic weapons testing in order to show how long the water has been away from the ocean surface. I'll probably be seeing this sample again in the AMS lab at WHOI after I get back.
Sample grouping designed to give people ideas on how these might look good together. Some work better than others and were created when certain pieces were finished near the same time.
