This is what I'm going with for A Notion or Two - November. Just need a bit more white fabric and then I can send it out to all of you.
The first sample had to include fabric manipulation and hand embroidery stitches to create texture. I space dyed the background cotton then did cutwork circles before pleating and smocking it. I used tied threads to smock the fabric and did buttonhole lace on some of the fabric folds

Biologists carefully collect tissue samples from the left side of each fish for mercury analysis, as shown here. The samples are run through a mercury analyzer at FWRI’s Indian River Field Laboratory, after which biologists send comparative samples for accuracy to the Florida Department of Health. Health officials can then conduct risk assessments and issue consumption advisories. Over the years, FWRI staff have tested various species for mercury contamination, including Spanish mackerel, shown above.

Was asked if I could recreate a drive yoke for this antique.
I would like to do some more with the air flow though. This is to be bronze. I've seen this part in cast iron as well, but having a shaft run through with no bearing is just weird, so bronze will be it's own bearing
