Finally, the end of a slow burn decoration project.
A friend kindly gave us a whole load of vintage wallpaper scraps (mostly William Morris - including some interesting colour-ways from the 1960/70s - and a bit of Voysey). I also had some samples and offcuts left over from having wallpapered elsewhere in the house.
I decided I might frame a few so went into this great shop nearby stuffed literally floor to ceiling full of junk from house clearances. I said "How many frames will you let me have for 30 quid?". "Give me 40 and you can take the lot", he replied. Amazing! A few extra charity shop finds and I had enough to cover the entire corridor.
And so little by little over the last two years or so I've been framing everything up.

Brides like to come in and sample the cakes. Its the best selling tool. Most have never had a true scratch cake before. Many have grown up with cake mix cakes. And are surprised how good a cake can taste. No secret here....its all real butter in that frosting!
Perhaps the roses need some leaves? Eh....Whatev...Didn't feel like adding another colour to the mix....And I think this gives it a more "contemporary" look.
What was the bar at the visitor centre of the Talisker Distillery turned into a production line for the tasting samples to take away to comply with Covid 19 regulations at the time which prohibited it from being drunk inside.
I'm looking for a book that will hold single sheets of samples. This is a blizzard or crown book, developed by Hedi Kyle. It does spring open in that fanned out position if the covers aren't held together somehow. I thought it would be easy to slip the pages in the book. But it's too fiddly to fold, I want something quicker and easy.
