I've started on a sample of back-stitched text taken from one of the love letters. I've used a heat erasable pen and the top line was done to check that it would erase. Not sure if I will cut this up for patchwork appliqué or use it as a base fabric and appliqué over the top of it to break up the text.
Sample color green. One toe the rubber is peeling but stitches unaffected. No holes/ no tears. 8.5/10

After learning how to make the sweet treats, the kids were able to sample many flavors of custard and ice.

Cassava varieties of the same Yanesha were systematically sampled in 1983–86 and in 1999, 15 years later. Here, the same woman is photographed in her cassava field during the first survey (inset photo) and second survey (larger outer photo), when she is noticeably 15 years older (Salick et al. 1997 and Salick 2012).

Spoonflower Sample - Overview
This is what came out of the spoonflower printing process. (See the input further up my stream. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/katharos/2584514843/]
The reality is slightly more saturated and darker than this looks on my monitor, but it isn't horribly off.
The size is a fat quarter. The small pattern squares are 3" on a side.
