Soil samples are taken from key points on an excavation site. Bits of charred grain, snail shells etc. help environmental specialists build up a picture of the past landscape.

Here a sample is being washed and graded in size.

The Standard Assessment of Mitigation Potential and Livelihoods in Smallholder Systems (SAMPLES) Program aims to identify pro-poor mitigation options in smallholder farming systems, focusing on opportunities to both benefit farmers’ food security and contribute to climate change mitigation.

My blurb to HR was super non-specific...something along the lines of: "i think you are super, send whatever". I do like what she sent, but some of it is not so useful for right now.

 

The kids coat is RIDICULOUSLY CUTE, but alas, I have no kids to stick it on. same with the mushroom dress, under the sea bloomers, and little tank tops. So...into the box of baby clothes (for a baby that does not yet exist) they go!

 

I love the prints...I can't wait to get them up in my sewing space :)

 

And of course, the fabric is lovely.

 

I think I feel good about my $75 spent.
