"Another Saturday Night"

by Sam Cooke (1963)

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody

I got some money 'cause i just got paid

How I wish I had someone to talk to

I'm in awful way

I got in town a month ago, I seen a lotta girls since then

If I could meet 'em I could get 'em but as yet I haven't met 'em

That's why I'm in the shape I'm in

Here another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody

I got some money 'cause I just got paid

How I wish I had someone to talk to

I'm in awful way

Another fella told me he had a sister who looked just fine

Instead of being my deliverance, she had a strange resemblance

to a cat named Frankenstein

Here another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody

I got some money 'cause I just got paid

How I wish I had some chick to talk to

I'm in awful way

(Here it is another weekend and I ain't got nobody

Man if I was back home I'd be swinging

Two chicks on my arm

Aww yeah

Listen to me huh)

It's hard on a fella, when he don't know his way around

If I don't find me a honey to help me spend my money

I'm gonna have to blow this town

Here it's another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody

I got some money 'cause I just got paid

How I wish I had some chick to talk to

I'm in awful way

These scans come from my rather large magazine collection. Instead of filling my house with old moldy magazines, I scanned them (in most cases, photographed them) and filled a storage area with moldy magazines. Now they reside on an external hard drive. I thought others might appreciate these tidbits of forgotten history.

This right here is a little piece of history. "Play It Again Jukebox" will always be regarded as the best board game ever in my book. Not because it is that fun for me to play, rather because of how much fun I remember my parents and extended parents having while they played this. Funny how things work.

The Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks over the Hudson River. One of my favorite tracks. Change to be in constant happiness.

On my 14th birthday I received a radiogram as a present and this is one of the first two singles I bought . It seems a long time ago now , and it is ! I don't know what happened to the originals but , for nostalgia's sake , I had to buy them again . And , no , I don't still have the radiogram but I do have a record player .

Guy's head almost -- but doesn't -- screen that crazy look on Aretha's face.
