Today I took some "prego pictures." It was fun. I thought is turned out well. I just wish that the backdrop hadn't been so wrinkled.. even after we steamed it. ha. I'm for sure going to use paper when I actually have a studio.

Sam Jones (Abiaka) was a powerful spiritual leader of a Miccosukee band of Seminoles. At one time he lived here on the Pine Island complex, an important Seminole ceremonial grounds until the 19th Century. Sam Jones was a major force of resistance against the U.S during the Seminole wars of the 1800's. He helped warriors prepare for battle with his medicine and prayers.

Four thousands Seminoles were captured and removed to Oklahoma, but Sam Jones and his followers never surrendered. Because of his inflexible courage and determination, there are Seminoles living in Florida today.

If you're yearning for the classics, take yourself down to Sam Wo Restaurant in Chinatown, San Francisco. Sam Wo founded in 1912 is known for its "famous ... no-frills, late-night food, and its' you-get-what-you-get service." And, you won't have to let those pesky time constraints prevent you from a visit. Sam Wo is conveniently open daily until 3:00 AM.

If all that doesn't interest you then consider, that Sam Wo was probably best known as the workplace of Edsel Ford Fung, often called the "world's rudest, worst, most insulting waiter". Fung would refuse to serve customers whose appearance he disliked and would ruthlessly harass patrons that complained about mistaken orders. But don't fret about that, Edsel died in 1984.

We know he loves his duckworth when it's the toy he runs around searching for to take out to the backyard. And another sure sign is when he sits with it on 'his' picnic table. Duckworth looked a little chilly out there but I think it will adapt after its long migration from California. Thanks Gina!!!

and Happy Furry Friday everyone!
