Shot for Our Daily Challenge :“Rust”

Rust always is so photogenic, isn't it?

I am told these flowers are called "privy roses" because they were often planted near outhouses to combat odor. They are common throughout the Bear Lake Valley and have taken over at this great old house.

Thanks, Jim, for getting permission to explore this property.

An old International Truck at Tannymorrel

. . for Macro Mondays theme; "Rust".

This old can lid is between 50 and 60 years old. It has been buried in the ground after being tossed by an old Alaskan Roadhouse many long years ago.

HMM!

I work in a ship. On a ship rust and de rust is a continuous process. Sea water has salt, Oxygen is in the air and Iron is what a ship made of. When I saw the theme “Rust” in Macro Monday I got happy and thought I can show a lot to you all. Because I live in between the rust, Rust is everywhere and everyday it is taken care of. A lot of money spent every day to get rid of the rust. I really got confused what to show you MM friends. Finally I had to choose one and here it is . It is a wasted non repairable handle of a trolley. It’s the real Rust grown over time in nature. Background blue is the real ocean. HMM ! To all .

No more trips, no more passengers, no more cities passing by the windows, just rust and loneliness, for ever.

An old fence, just trying to remain upright while guarding its floral treasures….rust may win eventually, but not this fall.

Ezekiel 24:6 “Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Woe to the bloody city, to the caldron whose rust is therein, and whose rust is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; no lot is fallen upon it.”

A small section of a car brake disc. Always amazes me how quickly rust will appear on the face of a disc. After a heavy rain this afternoon, these rust spots developed within two hours

A transition to something a bit different from a Show 'n' Shine. No idea as to what model this old timer is, but it does not matter, as there is not enough showing to appreciate the actual car. No shine to this set of wheels, but most will know how much I like the look of rust and of shapes.

Will likely take two clicks to get to full view, but worth it if you like texture.

Within living memory this area was full of the rust that comes with neglect, and it seems that now the area has smartened up and become desirable so has the rust...

Happy Bokeh Wednesday, everyone!

In de haven van Helgoland zijn prachtige structuren door roest op de havenpalen door getijdewisselingen en metalen ontstaan.

In the port vanHelgoland its magnificent structures rust harbor piles caused by tidal fluctuations and metals.

My favorite kind of rust.

The rails of the former Monon just south of Campbellsburg, Indiana sit rusting away in the warm sun.
