Ich found the rusty screw in an old dusty box in the garage. My idea was to put old and new metal (alu) in the scene and at the same time to create a mirroring. I chose turquoise and blue as a color contast for the background.

This is a macro shot of our weathered wooden fence. I loved the juxtaposition of the horizonal and vertical wood and the rich textures.

I also liked the way the rusty lug nuts 'popped' against the muted colours of the wood.

I've passed this little "fixer upper" a few times now and this morning the gates of the yard were open and I was "in like Flynn"

It's in a terrible state with rust on almost every panel, but it was the hand painted VW with the letters the wrong way up that caught my eye and the whole thing just deserved a bit of a grungy look. I think I'll take a few more shots of her before the rust really takes over.....or she falls apart!!!! :)
