Wadi Run desert, Jordania
Wadi Rum is a protected area covering 720 square kilometers of dramatic desert wilderness in the south of Jordan. Huge mountains of sandstone and granite emerge, sheer-sided, from wide sandy valleys to reach heights of 1700 meters and more. Narrow canyons and fissures cut deep into the mountains and many conceal ancient rock drawings etched by the peoples of the desert over millennia. Bedouin tribes still live among the mountains of Rum and their large goat-hair tents are a special feature of the landscape
To safeguard its unique desert landscape, Wadi Rum was declared a protected area in1998 and an intensive conservation programme is now underway.

His harnes is just a standard H-type and I don't recall where we got it. The leash is a spiral "bungee" that came with Snow White's Come-with-me-Kitty harness. Much more from my walks with Snow White and Rags in the album "Walking the cat" and also in the video "Snow White Goes Walking"

A skimmer glides through a fishing run as its prey tries to jump out of harm's way.
There was only a single skimmer this particular morning at the refuge and it made at least a dozen runs right in front of me. It would circle around, dip its bill into the water, catch a fish and circle back around for another go.

All the funs of summer. We were all sitting enjoying the sun when suddenly we realized we sat in amongst some hungry Shark Pups

You can find the Floaty Pool Mouse @ Anthology July 19 to August 17 They come as wearable,I personally am stuck on the head ones (as evidenced by me having a mouse on my head a lot) as well as they can be decor as evidenced in this photo.

A pair of GP60s, one Southern Pacific and the other a very weathered Cotton Belt, lead Conrail TV-556 through the interlocking at CP7 on the River Line. TV-556 was the train to catch at the time, due to the regular presence of run-through power off the SP. It would typically appear in North Jersey on Thursday mornings, and this day was no exception.
