Really good piece in Strašnice sk8park...Its just pity, that we arent so good to "Rule the pool" yet...
Guess what this picture is of/ from. Sorry the focus goes slightly at top and bottom- camera cant have been exactly perpendicular, and had an insanely small DOF.
Assertion: This design by Cipe Pineles for Seventeen magazine employs the rule of thirds to create a balanced and elegant fashion spread.
Evidence: The figure in this piece is positioned in the right third with a background that supports the figure. A chair on the left balances a desk on the lower-right of the frame. Both provide compositional support to the figure, which is fully aligned on the right-third axis.
Commentary: The chair she holds is compositionally interesting, I see it as a ground element in relation to the woman's figure, but it is clearly placed in front of her in the foreground. This is a little bit of an odd example of the rule of thirds, but I think it works. Also, Cipe Pineles is awesome, providing an exception to the Mad Men view of the 1950s/60s design scene.
I'm gonna be upfront here: I don't like the Ghouls Rule line. The idea was cool, but the execution was a bit... well... "drag queen doll". I have nothing against drag queens, I think they're fun and I've had a lot of fun hanging out with them, but I don't want my dolls to look like them. However, I'm a bit of a Cleo fanboy, and we haven't had much of her in the lines lately, and i felt of all the GR dolls Cleo turned out the best. So here she is!
These first 2 shots were taken with a flash, something I never do, but I felt the flash really emphasized the sparkling outfit. Plus it didn't cause too much glare on her face. More GR Cleo in a bit...
