An expanded Fine Diners Club had the Edward VII private room at Rules on the 15th for Steve's birthday.
The main event : suckling pig! We were disappointed they didn't carve it at the table. It disappeared and moments later, we were presented with plated pork, Blue Peter style!
PS I didn't photograph the fish course : Cornish Crab risotto. It tasted great but was boring to look at.

Every year on our anniversary, Liz and I have dinner at Rocky Cola Cafe in Uptown Whittier, which was the site of our first date. For our fifth anniversary, I surprised her by getting the same booth we sat at our first time there and popping the proverbial question. And I had a bunch of our friends and family hiding outside to celebrate.
