Ruby with just enough light. Providing you give perfect lighting and less interrupting shadows and reflection. Photographing gemstones, to capture the earth's work is very difficult. As you can tell by my other photos of same relation.
Unfortunately Ruby has slight skin issue on her tummy due to excessive grooming, therefore has to wear a collar for hopefully a short while.
She does not mind it to much once on, but squirms a bit when trying to put it on. I have cut it down so she can eat & drink.

Today, the media's Poop Cruise fixation is finally tapering off, the Russian meteorite news is holding steady, it rained then the sun came out - and stayed out, and I somehow managed to stay in bed until nearly 9 a.m. There ya go, Saturday in mid-February.
Then there's the fact that Ruby turned 32,000 miles today. At 1182 days old (3 years, 2 months, 25 days) she rolled over some zeros. Granted, 32,000 miles isn't a milestone milage, but it was worth noticing.
So there I was coming home from dinner at Buster's BBQ in Tigard and noticed the odometer at 31,998 miles when I stopped at the light at Dairy Queen. Whew! And I was afraid I'd have nothing to write about today. Ruby turning 32,000 isn't huge news but on days like today, I'll take it.
The fastest time that a Rubix Cube has been solved blind folded is 23.68 seconds. Which is amazing. But don't try that with this one, this one is made from really pretty roses.

Yes it's that time of year again.
My set up is just off the front porch with good vantage to a feeder, a rocking chair, beer, and tunes.
