Cactus and Candle formations. Ruby Falls is the tallest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States. Falling more than 145 feet inside the limestone interior of Lookout Mountain, the falls are 1,120 feet below the surface of the mountain. Discovered in 1928 by Leo Lambert and named for his wife, Ruby, the falls are reached by descending a 260-foot shaft in a glass-fronted elevator before walking through half a mile of caverns. Chattanooga, Tennessee. (Nathanael Miller, 02 August 2022)

Ruby-throated Hummingbird at Heinz NWR. Not a very good shot because he is very small and was far away, but it's not often that you see a hummingbird perched in a tree.

Ruby 's first time at the beach, she was so apprehensive and then this pooch decided it was time to be buddies, well she went into coy mode, so funny to watch. She hated the sand at first then decided it was ok, then came the water, well needless to say she will be a waterbaby!

I finally got my camera back from the shop. I HAD to go out in the snow and try to get some good shots (I was going through withdraws! It snowed in IN today and yes, I stood out in the snow and 20 degree temps. This little visitor was new to my backyard. I had never seen one in person. At first I thought it was a yellow finch and then my neighbor told me it was a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. She said they usually don't make it as far North as our backyard.
