This location opened on November 17th, 1993 and closed in July 2018. It became a Generator Supercenter in January 2021.
The grand heart is from Japanese book, taken from one of the old book from my mother's collection. The instruction is very difficult to follow. It's something similar to my photo tutorials but not very clear plus it's all in Japanese. It just took me all Friday and Saturday afternoon to finish it. Not to mention countless times I redid it until I got it right.
Taken on the return from my Utah vacation. It was getting late in the afternoon and I really liked the way the light was highlighting patched of snow. This one was taken from the western side of the range, opposite of the one that I took a few days before. I need to go back to explore these mountains someday.

Ruby my son's dog has a rather strange shaped head as she was hit by a car many years ago but survived even with a caved in scull. Tough dog!!

Been trying to get a nice photo of these guys for a few days with little luck. We decided to stay in one spot and let them come to us. I had a bunch of luck with this little one, who was friendly enough they almost landed right ontop of my lens! I thought it was a female, but I have a few pictures of what I think may be the same one with the ruby crown showing, so if it's the same one it's probably male.
Fun fact, a flock of Kinglets are called a dynasty :)

There was a very active little flock of Ruby-crowned Kinglets hanging out at the Thacker Marsh in Hope BC.
Let me introduce to you Ruby. She's a stunning Gentle River customised by the amazing Cupcake Curio. I've been smitten by her girls ever since meeting once in person, and I'm so happy to have this one come home!
Ruby-throated hummingbird drinks from a feeder.
Strobist: Three 580EXII on stands surrounding the feeder at 1/64 -1/3 at around 10" away. Waited until the ambient dropped well below the flash exposure, 1/250 @ f/11, ISO 100 to knock the background to black. This left me about 10 minutes to shoot, triggering with Pocket Wizards.
