it would confuse things by trying to add something like a "Web 2.0" suffix on RSS (since it has its own meaning for digits), but definitley the next (and now) generation is using RSS for multimedia content. Not just podvasting, tools like FireAnt (free for Windows and Mac OS X) allow users to subscribe to video content publishers (anyone who puts video files on their server), and thus get feeds not of web site updates, but new video content.
The memorandum sites aggregate news, both political news and technology news. It pulls together a newspaper like front page, with content drawn from RSS feeds of major news sources.
Other features include search, and rollback to different day's worth of news.
The top 10 producing feeds in the last 30 days, as reported by Google Reader.
The "Twitter (bradwilson)" and "Twitter (xunit)" are feeds from search.twitter.com for my Twitter username and "xunit", respectively.
"Photos from Brad Wilson's contacts" is the RSS feed of my contacts on Flickr (of which the highest producers are probably Chris Pirillo, kris krüg, and Derek K. Miller).
