Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow, Scotland.

Taken around Christmas 2003 in Glasgow's Royal Exchange Square

I'm a sucker for the lights - they get me every time. They are so Christmassy! I like walking underneath them

GOMA, the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square was designed as a private house in the late 18th Century, and subsequently has been a bank and the eponymous Exchange. The architecture is as spectacular as the many exhibitions held there.

Since the 1980s the statue has frequently worn a traffic cone (courtesy of late-night pranksters); occasionally the horse does too.
