A twin buggy for the pampered pooches and titled for one of my favourite songs by The Ditty Bops, Walk or Ride.

Music is one of my greatest joys and forms many of my earliest memories too. I feel strongly that music is one of humanities greatest creations. My taste, however, is really very eclectic.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend my Flickr friends.

Take care, take photos and make backups!

It's Friday! The day for my Scooby Snacks too. My only guilty pleasure is a packet of cheese and onion snacks once a week and Friday is the day. I wait obediently all week for mine too!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend of photography ahead. Sadly it's wall-to-wall heavy rain for me this weekend so I'll be staying in and enjoying the tennis on TV. It is the Wimbledon time of year after all.

Take care everyone.

Black and white re-edit of a 'stranger portrait' captured in March 2017. Akosua was number 49 in my 100 Strangers Project and keeping her earbuds in was a conscious choice as I wanted to photograph someone enjoying music on the street. This was captured in a previously posted portrait of Akosua with her eyes closed and head tilted back 'Lost in Music'.

Thank you all for sharing your awesome support for my photography. I am grateful to you all. Stay safe.

The statue of Wellington on horseback in Glasgow, whimsically adorned with one or more traffic cones, is a snapshot magnet and local landmark. Enjoy.

To add a little context she is standing in front of the statue of Wellington on Queen Street in Glasgow. A statue that is almost always adorned with a traffic cone on Wellington's head, and sometimes his horse too, and is a well known Glaswegian landmark for that very reason. Enjoy!

Colour re-edit of a shot from March 2016. A great representation of life in Scotland, particularly the west, where there are times of the year that you have to dress and prepare for three seasons in a single day. Enjoy!

Traffic cone, not just a joke.... it`s a tradition

Capping the statue with a traffic cone has become a traditional practice in the city, claimed to represent the humour of the local population and believed to date back to the first half of the 1980s, if not before.

(Wikipedia)

A very wide angle shot at the top looking down.

Gallery of Modern Art & the Golden Christmas Mesh Gleaming in the Night Sky

Night walks around Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square. The centrepiece of the square is the old Royal Exchange neoclassical and historical mansion designed by David Hamilton in 1829.The building now houses Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA),which opened to the public on 29th May 1996.

Beautiful the portico with the magnificent row of the huge Corinthian Columns and the bronze equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington imposingly standing in front of the building. It's Baron Marochetti's work unveiled in 1844 before a large number of Waterloo veterans.

PS:Traffic Cones are firmly placed on the head of the Duke of Wellington and on the head of the horse. Is it because the equestrian statue stands outside the Gallery of Modern Art ...? Let the

locals speak ...,it's a Glasgow affair that started around 30-40 years ago ...

I left history behind and moved on seeking the immutable Star with the invariable Glow ... 彡★彡

in Royal Exchange Square

I really wanted this shot with Christmas lights on. A typical scene with rubbish all over the place. Too many people out on the ran dan the night before.
