This was taken in Lairg in Scotland. There’s a restaurant/cafe called The Pier and behind it is a beautiful loch which I’ve seen on a couple of occasions before but the light was always a little dull. Although I didn’t go there specifically to take photographs, I was glad I had my camera with me because the light was rather nicer this time. I can strongly recommend the Orkney Fudge cheesecake by the way. (PC030013)

This is probably the most photographed lake in the Alpine region, if not in Europe. I can now understand why! The lake is really beautiful with the mountains reflecting in the green water. This place must be really crowded in summer, but this October morning there were only me and three other photographers here. It had been raining the night before and when I arrived before sunrise the clouds were hanging low. Suddenly it started to clear and we could watch the first sun rays hit the peak of "Seekofel", the mountain in the background.

In her work, Laura Belém recontextualizes objects from daily life, completely changing their meaning, renovating their situation and, moreover, the viewer’s perception of them. Thus, in a work like Enamorados [In Love], presented at the 51st Bienal de Veneza, two small boats seem to chatting with each other. The resource used is a simple one: Belém installed the boats front to front, and placed a spotlight on each of their bows. These lights turn on and off, sometimes coinciding, sometimes disagreeing with each other, thereby establishing the sensation of dialogue and, consequently, resulting in the personification of the boats.

In the far distance is the suburb of Rhodes with, amongst other things, a giant Ikea store, lol.

The much photographed rowing boats at Llyn Nantlle, Snowdonia.
After setting my alarm too late for the ISS I had the time to make my way to Llyn Nantlle. It's a bit of a drive from Trearddur to here but I arrived in plenty of time to have breakfast and a brew.
The only cloud at first was the bank covering Snowdon in the distance but a few blew in just before sunrise and fortunately the mist had stayed and was getting a little thicker if anything.
Would've been nice to be able to see the summit of Snowdon but I got some lovely conditions so definitely not complaining:)
The sun rises above the summit of Snowdon looking from Llyn Nantle.
Something I've learnt from my last two outings is that just because you have filters you don't have to use them.
I've recently acquired a Nisi Landscape Circular Polariser and I love it, but in certain conditions it simply isn't required. All my shots from here and from Llyn DInas looked good on the back of the camera but when I got them on the computer they actually hurt my eyes.
The warm glow of sunrise and the soft golden light is more than enough. Not the best composition or the image I'd hoped for but out of about 30 images from the morning this was about the only one I felt I could work with. Always learn something new on each outing.
My sweet Lord
Mm, my Lord
Mm, my Lord
I really want to see you
Really want to be with you
Really want to see you, Lord
But it takes so long, my Lord
My sweet Lord
Mm, my Lord
Mm, my Lord
I really want to know you
Really want to go with you
Really want to show you, Lord
That it won't take long, my Lord
My sweet Lord
