This female Roe Deer came out of the undergrowth and walked across in front of the hide, followed closely by a youngster. Such a privilege to see these beautiful animals.

Nice encounter with a roe deer doe one early morning, Nymphenburger Schlosspark, Munich, Germany

A morning at Gibside National Trust managed to capture a few photo's of roe deer running around a meadow.

This Roe was happily grazing the side of the road, I quickly ghillied up and waited for her to come to me. She came close, very close but a nearby walker made her stop and gaze - I snapped the photo and she was gone.

Roe Deer on the Wader Scrapes Musselburgh

We have had up to seven Roe Deer outside the office but we had the family of four today

A couple more from my time trying to photograph hares...

This Roe Deer walked across the field where the hares are, sending them running here, there and everywhere!

Tice's Meadow, Surrey, 17th April 2023. An inquisitive buck who kept walking towards me.

Tice's Meadow, Surrey, 22nd May 2021. This handsome chap was less than twenty feet away. We locked eyes and I enjoyed this wonderful close encounter before he turned and walked slowly away.

It was nearly dark when I took this shot on a recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales...I had to hand hold the camera and use high iso and this was the sharpest image I managed before the Buck bounded off into the woods.

Always a delight to see a lovely Roe Deer when out for a walk in woodland
