There are worse places for vegetarians than Greece - and there are also better ones. By the end of a fortnight in Greece we have all exhausted the veggie delights of every menu and never ever want to taste a Greek salad again in our lives. There are some dishes that stood out for us - and this was one of them. Many of the restaurants in Lindos were on the rooftops, affording spectacular views over the town and harbour - so even if the food was somewhat lacking, we just enjoyed the wine and the view!
The Ilikai Hotel, built in 1964, was the first high-rise hotel in Honolulu. An icon of the city, it appeared in the opening credits of the television show "Hawaii Five-O."
As of 2015, The Ilikai is a mix of condominiums, time-share units and conventional hotel rooms.

The Invasion Car Show is held annually on the Saturday before Labor Day. The location is "Deep Ellum", a historical district of downtown Dallas. It has many restaurants, clubs and bars and also, as you see in my photo, many wall murals that are throughout the district. There is even a mural tour. I had just left a nearby DART train station and caught this driver entering the show.
This was chosen as Dallas News' "Capture Dallas" Photo of the Day.
