A little rain some heat lightning ( not caught) made for an interesting sky.
Sogno Cucina Italiana Rooftop Restaurant
On our last night in Jodhpur we decided to grab dinner at one of the many rooftop restaurants in the city. Along with some newly made friends who were staying at the same guest house, we traded stories, enjoyed a delicious dinner, and flinched at every exploding firework mortar around us; all while in the midst of the glowing fort.
If anyone recognizes this restaurant, please let me know the name of it. I would love to get their name on here.

A luxury and business hotel, near the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica and Municipal Theatre and Opera, Hcmc, Vietnam, Southeast Asia. It has an outdoor restaurant on the roof. Historically, it is a hotel where journalists gathered in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Hudson's driver was getting directions/instructions for showing his vehicle in the car show that was going on in Deep Ellum (downtown Dallas). I was walking toward the entrance to the show and caught this driver on his way to it. After this scene, he moved on to the show! A restaurant is on roof top.
The beautiful roof gardens off Kensington High Street in London. Agatha Christie's Poirot 'The adventure of the Italian Nobleman' TV episode was shot here back in the 90's.

Shot from the Sé (cathedrale) over the old cetre with its many storch nests towards the commercial centre. Looking at the city from this side with its strong contrasts and somehow chaotic urbanism make me think about São Paulo here allthough there''s of course an obvious difference in density and scale.
By the way: due to the tele-compression the density in the previous post looks high, while in fact and in contrast with the part depicted here, it's one of the most open parts of inner city Faro.

Drinking a perfect cup of cappuccino at this restaurant in Shynige Platte, with a marvellous view of the Swiss alps, was an indelible experience!
It was definitely one of the best cups of coffee I had in Switzerland. I probably wouldn't do justice to it if I tried to describe it, but I can tell you that it was one of the warmest and most aromatic drinks I've put to my face, with a taste so intense that it almost demanded a personal relationship with it

This restaurant in Shynige Platte, Switzerland has the most amazing view of the Swiss alps. And the coffee here - simply marvellous!
The coffee here was like the sun melting a long winter's snow. It warmed the heart as it slipped through my ever-welcoming throat. The satisfaction cannot be foretold with words as I am lacking in utter content of the very essence
Another photo I dug up from my trip to the Philippines in January 2011. This is a stitched panorama featuring two photos I uploaded on here a few years ago. Despite the grain (and my lack of skill back then) this image turned out alright.
Since this photo was taken Makati has changed with numerous new towers having sprung up. The most prominent of these is Gramercy Residences which is over 250m tall and is the Philippines' first fully-furnished, fully-serviced, hyper-amenitized and fully-technologized condominium. This building was under construction at the time of this image and sits just out of frame to the right.
I shot this panorama on the roofdeck restaurant at City Garden Hotel. It was captured on a Nikon Coolpix S8000.

From Wikipedia : "Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur Darbar Kshetra) in front of the old royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom is one of three Durbar (royal palace) Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Several buildings in the Square collapsed due to a major earthquake on 25 April 2015. Durbar Square was surrounded with spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. The Royal Palace was originally at Dattaraya square and was later moved to the Durbar square.
The Kathmandu Durbar Square held the palaces of the Malla and Shah kings who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quadrangles, revealing courtyards and temples. It is known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, a name derived from a statue of Hanuman, the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, at the entrance of the palace."

This is an excellent rooftop restaurant with a great ambiente in Mehrauli on the way between Gurgaon and Delhi. It was in early February and very cold in the night, therefor they have put the coal ovens next to each table.
Picture taken on 2003.02.08-22h52'36''. I had placed the camera just on the table for the long exposure to make this shot.
BTW, the restaurant seems to be closed since some time already (status 2010).

This is one of a limited number of shots which were previously uploaded but are being 'bumped' as I'm now uploading a lot more shots from my trip.

Lots of intreesting things in this location along the Bosphorous. A quaint port, a rather dominating bust (statue) or some leader, flag draped streeps and hills, open air restaurants, a ton osatellite dishes everywhere and a nice rooftopp restaurant on the left. It would have been nice to go explore around there.. I'll have to go back someday. :-)

There are worse places for vegetarians than Greece - and there are also better ones. By the end of a fortnight in Greece we have all exhausted the veggie delights of every menu and never ever want to taste a Greek salad again in our lives. There are some dishes that stood out for us - and this was one of them. Many of the restaurants in Lindos were on the rooftops, affording spectacular views over the town and harbour - so even if the food was somewhat lacking, we just enjoyed the wine and the view! This was a type of soft cheese (a bit like ricotta) in a fried pastry coated with honey and sesame seeds.

While having a sip of coffee and discussing about a photography project with friends over a roof top cafe at Udaipur, I noticed the sky to be changing rapidly, which made me mount my camera on the tripod and leave the coffee behind. Later I saw the sky became more dramatic, hope to upload more photos from the same day soon.
