Estava viajando, e deixei ela cair de uma altura de uns 15mts. Ela despedaçou. Não sobrou nem o cartão de memória. Tô mega chateada... Is it possible to fall in love with a virtual mate? In Second Life, couples prove that theory on a regular basis. They do fall in love. Sometimes, it lasts and sometimes it doesn't.
Those that last are a remarkable group of couples. They are remarkable both in SL and RL where the divorce rate matches the break-ups in SL!
My partner, Xavier and I enjoy SL very much. We dance, we explore, we network, we chill, we love and we have a blast doing silly things.
So many places offer romantic areas such as ballrooms, chill zones and explorations. Here are some of our favorites...
Avilion Ballroom is a special favorite of mine. It's where I first danced with my first crush... and now I dance here with my partner. Recently, renovated, the Avilion offers a beautiful place to romance each other.
Phatland is another. More jazz music than Avilion, Phat's is a sophisticated club for couples. Beautifully built, we seem to frequent this place a lot.
Another great ballroom venue is Frank's Place. A lot of avies hang out here, so do prepare for a bit of lag. I suggest that you arrive early so that you can grab a spot on the dance floor.
A smaller club that we frequent regularly is the MMAC Jazz Link. Every week, DJ VJ Shojo spins an eclectic set of jazz and indie tunes. Very chill and very romantic little jazz club. Dash Renoir is the perfect host there.
Then there's the beautiful Ballroom">Palace, where grand is an understatement. We usually arrive to a nearly empty place dancing alone in our own world. Very romantic.
But, the most grand of all is a recent discovery. Tempura Island and Ballroom is the epitome of a lover's paradise. Grand and magnificent, the ballroom is done in gold gilt, with a beautiful ceiling and wall textures. The stairs leading to the ballroom and castle are simple but ever so opulent. This is an LM that I have sent to all my friends! LOL!
And we still frequent the clubs that offer a place for us. A place where we can be a couple without the drama that other places bring...
We hit Dorian Gray for DJ Barbs set and Xavier set off his JMD particle hud for a romantic interlude on the dance floor. So fun!
A big thanks to DJ Dint Talon for an awesome night over at IPR365 Milky Way Entertainment complex's K-Lounge. OMG, we had a blast! DJ Dint was spinning an incredible set of jungle, tribal, trance... you name it, he was spinning it! We stayed until the end!
We also went to Bogart's Cafe which is kinda a ballroom and kinda a lounge setting. You can dress in ballroom or cocktail dress there. We often go in between clubbing for a quick ballroom dance to lovely jazz music.
We usually stop off at Spanish DJ Sonar Halsey's Future Club. It is always psy heaven there! And BassLine Island for some hardcore tunes to get the blood pumping. Both are fun clubs for couples to hang at and dance.
And when we explore, we always seem to find the cutest places such as Midnight City for NBC's romantic dinner club, Rainbow Room Dining and the Italian pizza place that reminds me of North Beach in San Francisco!
The other night, Xavi took me to NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's build featuring an interactive floor of of the entire world's atmosphere! Wow! This from the US Department of Commerce!
And, when we chill at home we can be silly and set off our particles and dance or pull all our emotes and gestures for hours of silliness.
Couples in Second Life are just like couples in real life. They play, they love, they emote real emotions towards each other... and as best friends, they share the best of Second Life together.

The sun is back in London town! How long we have waited it's hard to say but at least the good weather is here for the moment. And as it's good to 'make hay when the sun shines' we thought we'd hit the streets for a little pasting action as you can never be sure if the weather will last or even if it will be back...
The Girls Romances magazine cover is actually to be used in another piece but I thought it best to make a couple of copies for pasting up while I was using the screen. The magazine is surely a must read for any young lady - complete with an interview with Gary Barlow on his great new tantric sex-ercise technique!

I had never once thought that I would one day be hooking up with someone. As a conservative woman, I dated my husband for two years before finally losing my virginity to him on the night of our wedding.
Am I really doing this? The guy in front of me was extremely handsome even though he was in a drunken stupor. He was my husband's best friend with whom he had grown up together.
I had given up something as precious as my virginity to my husband, and what did the asshole do?
He cheated on me! To make matters worse, he did it with his friend's young admirer, of all people! It would only be fair for me to have an affair with someone else behind his back as well.
So, while he was out chatting up other women, I was here seducing his best friend. An eye for an eye.
Christopher was so drunk that he barely recognized me, taking me as one of his impressionable fans. Unable to pass up such an easy chance, he took my hand and led me to his hotel room.
He pressed his warm body against mine as soon as he had shut the door, the smell of his cologne invading my senses.
Christopher had the type of charming appearance that made him look like a mischievous playboy but had the personality of a strong, domineering man hidden underneath his good looks.
“You here alone?” he whispered in a deep and husky voice.
“I'm with you now, aren't I?” I glanced up at him, meeting his half-lidded stare. I noticed how his eyes curved into the shape of a crescent moon when he smiled and how pretty his eyelashes were.
Actually, this isn't too bad.
As he let out a chuckle, his fingers brushed against my face and eventually wandered down to my collarbones, sending a shiver down my spine. There was a valid reason why he had so many girls falling head over heels for him.
“Nope. Not completely.”
“What are you talking about?” I knew that this wasn't the point, but I was curious. At the same time, I was worried that he would lose interest in me after I asked him the question.
Fortunately, he didn't seem to mind my curiosity. He bent down and grabbed ahold of my legs to effortlessly lift me up in a bridal carry. “I'm not with you until I'm inside of you,” he said with a grin.
“Huh?” I blinked owlishly for a few seconds before finally getting it, his bright laughter ringing in my ears as he placed me atop the bed. I wasn't sure if I was blushing because I felt embarrassed for falling for that joke or because I was shy.
He leaned over me, rubbing his face against my skin and leaving absentminded kisses on my ear. A little sensitive, I flinched and ducked my head.
“Uncomfortable?”
