and so my romance with the sunset continues! this one is right out of the camera, no processing whatsoever. the sun has just set, and has left the sky with this splendid colors. with ships in place and clam blue of the sea, it was picture perfect!

"Fall Romance"
This is at the bottom of where two canyons meet. It was the perfect setting. I feel like this would be a beautiful place for an Autumn wedding. The fall colors, soft light, flowing water all really come together to make this a magical scene in my opinion. I want to go back here and just sit and relax and enjoy the fresh air and sound of the water cascading over the rocks. The experience was a kind of peace that one rarely finds.

This is a macro image of one of the roses in our garden. It has a bright pink color. As you can see the sun was shining very bright that day.
I used a single extension tube in combination with my 35mm lens to capture this image. I had to use ƒ/16.0 to keep the image sharp.

I couldn't help but smile as I watched this male Finch scoot over to this female. Then she'd scoot a heart beat away. Then he'd scoot closer. And then she'd scoot away.
Finally she turned and looked at him, as if letting him know he'd just won her heart. And then they flew off together.
Again stuck inside with the flu....so I get to be creative with a few oldies....this is so appropriate for Valentines.....

Here's to some mental clarity prior to the arduous occasion in the forthcoming week. There is a value in finding a balance between labor and dalliance, but it is essential to have experienced both ends of the spectrum to find contentment in the middle-ground.
It would be beneficial to accept what life offers you and to try and "drink" from every cup granted to us. In the sense of wine, ALL wines should be tasted; and some should only be sipped; but, with others, you can drink the whole damn bottle.

I took this shot way too early in the morning. I was sick and didn't have the energy to set up my tripod and simply snapped 2 shots because it was so beautiful. When I noticed my half-eaten coffee cake on the dresser I decided it did not reinforce the romance of the scene so I removed it and shot one more before I took my Robitussin and crawled back into bed.
