This is a custom bracket that I fabricated form a plain piece of 1/8" thick steel stock. I used a jig saw for the curved cuts and did the holes with a hand held drill. It would be nice to have a drill press and a band saw for these sorts of things, but I'm not there just yet. The bracket is resting on the randomizer/splitter plate that I made. You can see the nut and bolts that I have welded to the plate with which the marbles will interact.

Some great rolling hills in Radnor. Taken from the side of the road over a picket fence. I got really lucky with the composition and the lighting was perfect. Changed to greyscale, and boosted contrast

Located along Main and First Streets and in Roanoke Park, the show featured exotic sports cars, vintage classics, muscle cars and high performance and custom street rods Cars from the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and the National Auto and Truck Museum were also featured. The event was free to attend, but money raised from entry fees will help fund current Roanoke Beautification Foundation projects, such as directional signage, additional historic lampposts, sidewalk repairs and parks department support. In addition, 20 percent of the
net profit will be donated to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum’s The Road Ahead capital campaign.

And a lesson I learned that day, other than not to dis Martha Stewart's Pate Brisee crust recipe, is that a French style rolling pin is much easier to use than the one with handles I was raised using. You get a much better feel for the dough.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day in the USA -- a time to honor our war dead.
In the last few years, "Rolling Thunder" has become a tradition in the Washington, DC area on the day before Memorial Day.
"Rolling Thunder" means that literally thousands of Vietnam veterans ride their Harley Davidsons to DC and parade through the streets, culminating at the Vietnam War Memorial. It's a testimony to patriotism and service, and raises issues at the heart of our nation today.
I went there today to take pictures.

On this day, Pacific Ocean was particularly calm. There were trains of rolling waves, making neither splash nor noise.
