The first annual Rolling Into Roanoke car show and more was Saturday, July 19th. Located along Main and First Streets and in Roanoke Park, the show featured exotic sports cars, vintage classics, muscle cars and high performance and custom street rods Cars from the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and the National Auto and Truck Museum were also featured. The event was free to attend, but money raised from entry fees will help fund current Roanoke Beautification Foundation projects, such as directional signage, additional historic lampposts, sidewalk repairs and parks department support. In addition, 20 percent of the
net profit will be donated to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum’s The Road Ahead capital campaign.

The sculpture Rolling Horse was designed by the german sculptor Jürgen Goertz and resides on the northern terrace of the Berlin main station. The sculpure is 9,70 m (~32 ft.) tall and weighs 35 metric tons.

Awesomeness.
The show was a huge success, largely to the credit of Adrianne who pulled it all together.
Had a few scary moments, like when I lost my balance on the stepladder and almost did a face plant. Thank you to the anonymous spectator who caught my hand and stabilized me.
Good times, though, and I think the client will be pleased.
