All the machinery on the first floor was used primarily for the preparation of animal feed. Rosco Ajax huller, This machine was used to hull the oats. After the oats were hulled they would go into the Barnard & Leas roller mill This would roll or grind the oats into the consistency of oatmeal for piglet food.

This sifter would have been connected to the driveshaft at left with the belt hanging next to the large pulley. the small pulley on the sifter is eccentric and would provide the back and forth motion needed to sift the milled grain.
