This is a Snow Roller. It is a rare phenomenon when the temperature and wind are just right it creates these naturally. It rolls the snow like you see here. That night it was windy and warm. Our weather man had only seen this once before (and he's in his late 60's).

I was at the fair, and it took me about 30 minutes to get this type of shot, this was right after my dad called me to tell me that it was time to leave.

The lilac-breasted roller (Coracias caudatus) is an African member of the roller (or Coraciidae) family of birds. It is widely distributed in sub-Saharan Africa, and is a vagrant to the southern Arabian Peninsula
The breeze had gone very light and for more than an hour we were within earshot of the screams from the roller-coaster ride.
Taken at the Portsmouth Roller Wenches bout at Horizon Leisure Centre. Two bouts between the Portsmouth A Team against the Bristol Harbour Harlots and the Portsmouth B Team against the Bath Roller Derby Girls.
Great wins by both Portsmouth teams.
I was lucky enough to be next to a team member (not playing) who was able to fill me in with some of the finer points of play so thanks to Admiral, hope your stats looked good :-)
NCVR take to the track for their first official bout. The Air Raid Sirens take on Liverpool Roller Birds Chicks, claiming a debut win with a score of 158-149.
Lucas & Alaina went roller skating for the first time. Lucas fell a bunch, but did ok. Alaina held on to an instructor's hand the whole time. Luckily they had about 5 instructors at this class.
