Yeah yeah, bad indoor pictures of moving people. Roller derby is the coolest thing ever! I'm totally gonna join.

Huge rollers coming in from the SW. I couldn't get over the undulating horizon. Now that's something vary rarely seen unless the rollers are very big and the horizon is about 20 miles away.

This Pacific Catamaran 19 was outfitted with a roller furling forestay. This makes it dead nuts easy to furl and unfurl the foresail while on the water.

The little wire doodad to the right of the roller looks like it was welded onto the fitting by a previous owner. I'm curious to see how well it resists fouling when on the water. The good thing is with a Pacific Catamaran 19, you can walk out to where the roller is and free any line fouls without going for a swim.

Since the forestay is disconnected for stepping and un-stepping the mast, I plan to replace the lower pin with a quarter inch quickpin to make this job easier.

I did not get to see all of this as there was a man touching his genitals near the entrance to one bit. I don't know whether he lived in here, or was just passing. The other bits looked like there was once part of a printing place, and then later, as a textile factory. As some point, part of it looks like it has been on fire. Today it remains empty, apart from the remains of cotton reels and possibly a man.

And one last look at the rollers, sadly none of my pictures of the final style came out good this time. Still was a wonderful time!

One of the parks along the Wildwood, NJ boardwalk. This a six-image panorama-- one of the widest I've ever attempted. It's also one of my favorites. Commenters have indicated that this is the Great White coaster.

Nice tattoo.

Today I attended a "send off" for one of the Advent Riders who is moving out of town. His wife is a player on a roller derby team, and we went to see the games in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

This photo is part of a short photo documentary I did while traveling through Hawaii. These girls were part of several teams competing in a series of roller derby sessions in Honolulu. This photo was shot using a Leica M6ttl with a 40mm Nokton lens. Film was Kodachrome and developed by Dwayne's Photo in Kansas
