Polaroid I-2
Polaroid Color 600 Film Round Frame
For this one I played with water, hot water to be specific. And I tore down the white frame ;)
So a few years back I went to battersea car boot and saw this building - unremarkable in every way, but I've since been back to photograph it a few times. I love how it has made no effort whatsoever to be individual. But this time I thought I'd give it some personality... so here it is, remixed with paints. No digital, all analogue.

This entire pack of film was affected by a lightleak, I guess ??? Every photo had the wavy white at the top and bottom. I've never seen this before or since. This is the only one where you can see the image enough in the middle to sort of make out what it is. Polaroid fails are simultaneously frustrating and the best! Let me know if you've seen this before with Polaroid film.
The House of the famous painter at Passeig de Gracia is now a clothes store. They had to preserve the historic decorations, so the Massimo Dutti store is worth a visit.

Polaroid 195 Land camera + expired Polaroid 669 type film
found in the trash at what remained of the polaroid archive. I rescued it and thought it a fitting image to post on the final day of 'roid week.
Another #roidweek is upon us, and here I am, starting on day 3. Everything has been a lot lately, though I doubt I'm in a unique position there.
I can tell you very little of this photo. It's me and it's on Spectra. The scratches are VERY real. If I had to take a guess, this was shot on Treasure Island in the doorway of the old gas station in 2010, but who really knows. Its companion piece I can date a little more closely given the eventual destruction of the artwork.
Last dispatches from a fading star, or something like that.
A tree says: My strength is trust. I know nothing about my fathers, I know nothing about the thousand children that every year spring out of me. I live out the secret of my seed to the very end, and I care for nothing else. I trust that God is in me. I trust that my labor is holy. Out of this trust I live.

ATTENTION: Polaroid purists look away! As promised I have tried my hand at something new this year for Roid Week. All of my photos are shot with instant film, but half of them are encaustic. This is the first one of those. Also, as they don't scan well, I've had to shoot them with my phone, to make them resemble the original as closely as possible. There are no digital enhancements.
This image is of Elle Long, who always knows what to wear and how to pose to get exactly the mood I am looking for. It was shot with some janky old Impossible spectra film. This is for Roid Week, Image 1/day 1.
Happy October Polaroid Week!

Sometimes accidentally setting the wrong film speed is not a total failure. ;-)
