Polaroidweek 2017 | Day 2 | Image #1
On the way to Julian, we saw this abandoned gas station and had to stop to take in the desert wonder.
Happy 'RoidWeek Spring 2014! Day 1
The shot that almost broke my SX-70. It slipped off my lap as I was changing film and landed lens first in the desert sand. This was the first shot after it fell and the shutter got stuck, but somehow it still came out ok. The SX-70 was wonky for a bit, but seems to have worked it's kinks out now and, I'm happy to report, is doing fine.
A hand painted miniature bass player based off of a real musician: Big Al of the Eels. It's accurate down to the tiny tattoos and damage on his bass guitar. It also happens to be his birthday today.
Shot on an SX-70 with a close up filter.

Happy October Polaroid Week.
Day 5
Besides the eclipse, the highlight of our trip was getting to visit McDonald Observatory. I've wanted to go there since I was a kid and it did not disappoint! The star party under the famously dark West Texas skies was simply magical. If you're ever near Ft. Davis do not miss it.
