I've posted this image in the past, as autumn rolled around, but this time I decided to jazz it up a bit in post processing. These birch and maple trees were right outside our front door when we lived in Connecticut over 50 years ago. In our currant California home, we have birch trees in our front yard, but we sure don't have those flaming maples.

Rail Operations Group (ROG) 37608 'Andromeda' leads a failed Greater Anglia Stadler 'FLIRT' 755414 past Waterbeach, 5K11 1200 from Cambridge L.H.S. to Norwich C.Pt. T.&R.S.M.D.
The ROG Thunderbird contract for Greater Anglia is planned to run out in the next couple of days - is this the last hurrah for 37608, or will the contract be extended?
Rail Operations Group (ROG) 37884 'Cepheus' drags Ex-Greater Anglia 317651 and 317654 past Waterbeach, 5E46 1109 from Ilford E.M.U.D. to Ely Mlf Papworth Sidings.
317651/654 joining Ex-Greater Anglia classmates 317505, 317657/659/660/662/663/665/667/668/669/670/671/672/722 and Ex- London Overground 317887/888/889/891/892 currently in cold storage at Ely Papworth.
ROG operated Class 37 No.37611 'Pegasus' working a Network Rail test train with 37175, running as 1Q86 10:06 March Down R.S. - Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) at Holdingham Lane, Sleaford. 18.09.2021.

ROG`s/Europhoenix`s 37510 "Orion" dragging a new West Midlands Aventra unit 730018 are seen at Raynors farm crossing Stenson with 5Q65 the 10.08 Derby Litchurch lane to Oxley Car.M.D.

This was a bit of a rush job after getting stuck in 2 traffic jams so we just made it with only a couple of minutes to get the pole up .
37510 is seen dragging 730202 as it passes Barrow upon Soar working the 5Q72 1211 Derby Litchurch Lane - Wembley Intercity Depot 8/3/25.

Only a mobile phone shot of the river Risle in the centre of Beaumont-le-Roger on August 3, 2023. The Risle was rather high.

Our friend Rog is disabled, stuck in a wheelchair and unable to cook. He depends on carers. He does not moan and is cheerful and good fun to spend time with. His garden though small is full of flowers and bees.

Rail Operations Group (ROG) 47812 arrives into Ely, after working a VSTP 1Z99 from Manningtree Down Sidings. This Thunderbird 47 was called out to assist a failed Greater Anglia 755411 - which moved back to Norwich CP under its own power in the end.
ROG Class 37/6 No. 37611 'Pegasus' hauls four 'Eastern Rail Services' (former Arriva Trains Wales) MK 3 coaches 10249, 12182, 12180 & 12176 as 5E17 1130 Yarmouth C.H.S. to Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. The consist passes Australia Farm near Three Horse Shoes on 4.11.2022.

ROG 47812 stands in the down sidings at Manningtree number 1 end leading, with the missing roof mounted radiator shutter . Cooler group defects were one of the main reasons for the chronic availability of many BR Diesels in the 1960s/70s A good example was the Western Region class 52 Westerns. 1036 Western Emperor was tested and the temperature was found to be between 110c and 135 c when it should have been 91/92c Temperature settings were obviously unreliable. Is it any wonder cylinder heads fractured.
37608 hauling 43192, 48143, 48144, 48145, 49115, 49110, 48128 and 43010.
The HST stock are most probably going for export to Mexico, in the near future.
With the previous two drags having been delivered by GBRf, it was a surprise to find out ROG were taking the next one. Here, 57312 passes Walmley with 5Q23 Soho LMD to Doncaster West Yard, with 323215 in tow.
ROG's 37510 'ORION' heads alone the Bedford - Bletchley branch at Husborne crawley with 5Q73 09.42 Derby Litchurch lane - Wembley Intercity depot with C2C's 720605 in tow on 17/9/22.
