Looks like they are building a rocket. Taken during the International Space Development Conference ISDC. (May, 2005)
Condensation caused by the shock cone surrounding the vehicle during it's transition to supersonic flight.
Rocket was my second cat. My first, Pixie, died a few years earlier. Rocket came along in 1991 or 1992. Born in the swimming pool pump house of friends of ours. He was the "odd one out" being grey. The others were black or black and white. I'm so grateful they gave away the grey one. For he was totally gorgeous. But you could never hug this cat. He was too squirmy. And his name was given because, even as a kitten, he would rocket away from anything deemed dangerous. But he was fond of Sally. This is all because of Stasha. She tamed Bruno, and Sally, and all the other dogs also. Which made it easy for Rocket.
Rocket was a runner, not a fighter. Never bothered to catch mice or birds. Sitting on my lap one evening at Sunrise on Sea ( circa 2003 ) a mice peaks its nose out into the living room. I woke the cat and pointed to the mouse. He just looked, ignored it, went back to sleep.
In the storyboard, the rocket is very comfortable and feels sexy and is about to fly, a thing is very easy for him. He starts by moving eyes up and down to the the screen( anybody who is watching now) which shows that he's about to demonstrate something really cool. Prepares by warming up, shaking his wings, his head as most animated characters do who are relaxed, comfortable and about to perform something that so easy for them but show and some pressure like its something professional or to impress the others. After the warm up the rocket gets ready to fly and stoops down to get power to fly. He starts flying, goes off camera. He then flies, appears on camera on the left and goes off camera again. The same thing again but flying from the right. The rocket then flies again to the left and this time he performs and a circle.
