Rocket from the Crypt at Toe Jam in Long Beach, CA. Probably sometime in '92. This was the first time I ever saw them.
The annual Ricardo Rocket Race has be resurrected. Entrants produce a vehicle powered by a standard rocket - limitations on minimum size and the use of proprietary parts make it a challenge for ingenuity.
Mark's innovative creation - with the rocket inside a water filled bottle. After lighting, there was a delay as the pressure built until the rubber bung was forced out. A right swerve and a roll prevented it achieving a good distance.

He was asleep on my legs so I took a picture of his foot. Did you know that the reason he has lots of hair in between his pads is to stop ice and snow getting in there and giving him frostbite? It's a hazard in suburban Reading.

This is my boss's ex husband's dog, Rocket. She and the kids went and picked him up last night and she was so excited she had to go home at lunch. She wanted me to take some pictures and I was glad to do it. He is the sweetest little guy ever. And he would have fit in my purse....hrm.

The Rocket Roundabout at World Maker Faire in Flushing Meadows, New York. The Madagascar Institute's Chariot Races were held around the statue during the Faire.
Rocket. Christmasy? No way to escape using non-Classic Space colors, but I'm glad I could built a rocket at all using just pieces from 70821!
This is more of a side view, before the first launch. Once again, I only got two launches from this one. The first flight was fine; the second one, we launched concurrently with another rocket, and lost track of Wizard in the air. I also think the streamer didn't deploy - I found the engine by itself on the ground - so it probably dropped pretty quickly.
The first flight was with an A8-3; the second was a B6-4.

The Rocket is the trademark of CCC. In our "Knitting Messages" Workshop we made a tail for it. It was raining heavily when we fixed it.
this is one of my vegetable garden beds, which I am ashamed to say has been a bit neglected in the past couple of months - the rocket has gone completely crazy and is threatening to take over the entire garden, and the Nasturtiums are not far behind!
