A pleasant sunny afternoon - although extremely windy - showed the Islands and River in all their glory!
Yesterday's rain in the Great Glen/Loch Ness has now worked down the River. which explains the high water level.
The Kinloss Psalter, also known as Auchinleck Psalter, an illuminated litany of Saints popular in Scottish religious circles at the time, dating to between 1500-1530 CE.
This fall is most inaccessible in a very steep sided wooded gorge. It about 3 metres high and only a couple of hundred yards from where the stream enters Hury Reservoir.
There is a higher fall further up the valley under the road bridge (How Gill Bridge) but so far have not been able to access it!!
With a patch of sunlight through the dense woodland.

RAW image with Ricoh GX100 with camera on beanbag on a wall, converted to TIFF with Paint Shop Pro as Nikon Capture NX2 does not recognise Ricoh RAW, then adjustments and cropping done using NX2 control points, and selective sharpening done to wheel only
To the left, the land is the Isle of Sheppey - the sun is setting over the Thames Estuary and Essex.
I don't usually do local sunsets as when you have seen one, you have seen them all, but this was a better than normal, so this is my ration for the year!
