A summer night on the Detroit River.
Our inspiration for the Riverwalk Project, I believe, came from our neighbors to Milwaukee in the north.
Each section of the river between bridges was done a little bit differently. This one is all seating with a ramp slicing diagonally through it. Having eaten lunch here a couple of times - I can tell you that it what very well done and very successful.
The next one up the river is a restaurant and a kayak place for river tours. The one that is currently being built outside of my office is a wetlands design. Not sure what that means, but I hope it is as cool as the rest of them.
Have a terrific Tuesday.

It was a beautiful day for a walk on Sunday. We started in Inglewood and followed the pathway to East Village in downtown Calgary.
(Comments turned off. Thanks for visiting!)
Photo taken on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas -- a great place to take a peaceful morning walk and enjoy the scenery!
This is located on the St. Lucie River and it extends in two directions. A great place to be when there's a cool breeze and moderate temps. Not so much fun in the hot, buggy summertime!
Happy Fence Friday!
The spaces/areas along the Riverwalk have names.

Steps leading to the river that runs through Macon, Georgia. I added some tonal balance to heighten the abstraction. No. 395 on Explore, Dec. 24/07.
A beautiful night for a stroll along the river until you stopped moving. I set up my tripod and shot about 7 frames and had to give up due to all the mosquitos. Seriously, if you stood still too long, you would get covered with them. It was ridiculous. At least I got this shot.
