Another beautiful evening on the riverfront in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Last night's sunset looked promising, then fizzled out almost immediately. The blue/golden hour saved the evening.

Visited the park today and took my camera with me to capture the sights.

You never know who you'll come across on the Sheboygan riverfront.

The image was created using Photoleap Cloud Wanderer and photos that I have taken.

As we took an evening riverfront walk I spied a family of ducks gathered on a piece of driftwood next to a dock.

The trio posted were taken Thursday morning in fisheye lens mode. It was good to walk along the riverfront in sunshine after the last few days. The river is the highest it has been in decades.

Strong gale winds are pushing the Sheboygan River flow away from Lake Michigan. This is causing lakefront flooding and ice packs. Here the areas are clearly defined.

Tuesday morning, after stopping to pick up coffee beans, I walked along the northern side of the Sheboygan riverfront.

Center and Marion Street bridges across the Willamette River in Salem, captured just as the fog was clearing.

On a typical Saturday these parking spaces fill rapidly as people visit Prohibition Bistro for Italian food and drink. This Saturday the only cars were those of the reduced staff of workers and customers who came to collect their take-out orders.

I have mixed feelings about this scene. I am glad to see that people are following the concepts of social distancing and self-isolation. I miss the vibrancy of the street activity, worry about these small businesses and their workers, and, like everyone else wonder when and if life will return to normal.

Friday afternoon between the rain storms was beautiful along the Sheboygan riverfront.

Sheboygan, Wisconsin has had a tradition in recent years where those who dock their ships in port decorate them the night before the 4th of July celebration. For some reason, even though there are no gondolas, it's called "Venetian Night".

A highlight of the event was this ship decked out in Green Bay Packer logos. (Packer fans are sometimes referred to as "Cheese Heads", thus the tile of this photo.)

A early winter view along the Sheboygan riverfront Wednesday afternoon.

Autumn is officially here and this trio of photos acknowledges this transition. A nearly empty beach, charter fishing boats on their last days of riverfront docking, and fading flowers are all local aspects of the changes that this transition brings. Soon there will be brilliant fall colors. To every thing turn, turn, turn, there is a season....

Both the river and the lake have been very volatile for the last week. Strong winds on Lake Michigan have created waves that have pounded the western shore and sent surges of water along the riverfront. Today's calmness is a welcome relief.

Saturday afternoon was yet another time of grayness and I had to force myself into a slushy walk. I thought that the sepia mode would at least give a bit of variety to the scenes. I am really, really looking forward to a couple weeks of warmth and sunshine-just enough to get me through the winter.

Looking across the river from the Weather Center Café side you can see the charter fishing boats. I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly disappeared and went to dry dock until next May,
